I really dug this episode and, the scene about saving Breakdown was clunky and did fall apart a bit from writing. Prime Prime would be better is he wasn't written with such gravitas i feel. I do still moderately enjoy him as a character, it's just i want him to vary his gravitas away from "epic".

That being said, this episode legitmized MECH as a threat to me because of what they have the potential to do. I felt thier premiere episode ("Convoy") was a bit bland and had a few key detrimental flaws (i.e too much ill-placed gravitas on Silas' "There's a war brewing.." line (which frankly i felt didnt really fit the tone of that episode) and Optimus getting knocked out by a tree trunk). This episode as wel; as Crisscross have established them as a legitmate creepy threat.

Lastly, i dug the hell out of Breakdown and Bulkhead in this episode. We need more screen time for both! Adam Baldwin and Kevin Michael Richardson for the win!

 

Another great Primetime guys - You've got to love some Sentient Robot Dismemberment don't ya?  

 

I just watched Crisscross and at the last part made me gasping for air on its epicness! I can't wait for the WTF crew's discussion of it on Primetime.

 

I am so with you on that one.

 

Now that we've seen that Breakdown really does get an eye patch, I think you should really post that sketch, Vangelus. I would like to have a valid source to cite on TFWiki.

 

Just got around to listening, the discussion of the Autobots jumping out of the ground-bridge and aiming their guns only for nobody to be there really reminded me of Stargate. How the soldiers would always aim at the gate whenever someone came through the gate unauthorized, only to stand down because there's no threat. Then finally in one episode they go through the same routine, when Replicators come through and the soldiers just open fire.

Anyway, pointless, late, and long-winded, but I just felt like throwing that out there.
