Hey guys! Though I've had a couple classes in modelling and conceptual design, I've never actually encountered the word "greebles" in class, much less "nernie" or whatever. In fact, for things like that, I suppose we just use a variety of words to describe the... Greebles... As they pop up. Flanges, scraplets, fiddly bits, deco, spare parts, bashed kits... Anything works.

Buuuuut.... Let's come up with a new word anyway! Here's a list!
    1: Greedos
    2: Kremzeeks
    3: Minicons
    4: Vanges
    5: Eido's
    6: Spoilettes
    7: Floros
    8: Derries
    9: Buzzards
    10: Gogs
    11: Teejays

    And my favorite: Bays.

Ratchet did transform in the first ep after Cliff was killed and they went to go get his body... or so memory serves.

I kinda want to name something Nurnie now, so either the next pet me get or our first born, which ever happens first.

I also do not believe Sky Quake is dead, I kinda got the vibe if Starscream wasn't there, or if Prime could have talked to him more, Sky Quake might have joined the Autobots.

Megatron dead, he wouldn't serve under Starscream so Prime would be the next most honourable warrior for him to go too, and they have a history, I didn't get the feeling Sky Quake hated Prime or anything, they were just honourable warriors doing their job but when the battle was over could just as easily shared some Energon Whiskey at Maccadams or something.

Anyone else get that? or was it just me.

I almost never post here because I'm always a tad behind on the podcasts and always want to chat with the hosts (twitter is not useful for actual discussion). But heres some thoughts on this episode's discussion.

I doubt mo-cap is used, but any really good animator knows how to use reference really well. I'm sure they get video of the actor's recording sessions and look through them to see if theres any acting cues they can take. This would be very beneficial to the small twitches and nods that are subtle yet impressively full of character.

    ---

Although its not "Prime's" fault (its the movies fault, but Prime suffers) Is anyone else getting really tired of how important earth is? I feel like the fiction is trying to hard to make earth important to the Transformers. I don't think it really makes it any more interesting than them being here by coincidence. I think Animated handled it pretty well, where earth became important due to the TF's initial accidental involvement early on. But imgetting pretty tired of the long history stuff. Prime isn't there yet, but it seems to be getting there with its energon deposits and sleeper agents and such. Also we still have zero backstory, so as far as we know (though its unlikely) everything important is taking place solely on earth, and thats it. No space battles, no other planets. Just Megs and Prime and their buds hanging around earth.

Its still not as bad as the movies. Hey, look, allspark crashed here okay, cool. Brings the robots and the war. BUT WAIT! They were here already! and no one else seemed to know until now. And they are intertwined with human history! This is interesting, we promise! Oh hey look, moon landing stuff. Transformers were intertwined with human history some more again! wooo! isn't this great??? While I can't judge DOTM, I'd be way happier with ROTF if it was just "Megatron is back for revenge!" But I guess the plot was the least of that films issues.

Eh, I should stop. I'm really enjoying Prime. I get it that the Autobots are here to protect earth in case of decepticons attacking, and were still in the dark on why that is. But it seems the decepticons are just chilling because earth is important somehow.

Did I miss anything in the show? were there more hints about the backstory? I'm looking forward to finding out but I will be disappointed if its just movie-silly.

Sorry for the random movie hate, I have no issues if you find the backstory more interesting and more exciting then just "hey sum robitz crashd here."
