Regarding the personalities of the drones in this show. I kinda think of them like the battledroids in the clonewars cartoon. Those things have more personalities than even some jedi. I think I remember one of them even complaining because he was about to get killed right after he received a promotion, lol

I can't be the only one who thought Mortal Kombat when Bulkhead ripped the drone's innards out.

One of the best scenes in the entire mini was when the bots were fighting in the decepticon ship hallway, and you see the battle from the perspective of the kids, with strange angles and muted sound. That's what a human would feel like if this battle was going on around him.

    Huh.

I kind of hope they turn out to be more like the X-tacles from Frisky Dingo:

They kind of sound like them, to be honest.

Hey, to jump on the subject of the relationship between Arcee and Jack as brought up in the podcast, I think it's pertinent to know that Hasbro's focus with The Hub has been in "co-viewing," that is, kids 2-11 watching with adults 18-49. I think it makes sense from that point of view then to have Jack be partnered up with Arcee who very much could be seen as the mother of the Autobot cast, and thus someone they want to push. Their relationship is very much a loving one with Jack looking up to her (figuratively and literally) and Arcee protecting Jack as if he was one of her own. I think you could loosely tie that in to Miko and Bulkhead being like a young sister/older brother kinda thing, or even just as "older male figure" though I wouldn't go so far as to say Bulkhead is the father. Clearly the father is Optimus Prime who is the "Breadwinner" of the Autobot team, protecting the family from the evil insanity in Megatron.

I do expect, given their ratings were excellent in the co-viewing segment, that this is something we see repeated, and I would expect Arcee/Jack as mother/son to be a recurring element used throughout the first season.

I was referring to the discussion in the Podcast about how them talking kinda personifies them and therefor hints that they are alive. The battledroids are chatterbots, but they are definitely not alive.

I do like that these drone's talk. It gives she show a bit of an edge, because one can still imply that they have enough personality to want to avoid death.
