It was just a one off thing unfortunately. Just the chance of proximity and circumstance and luck.

It took me this long to finally get through the first two podcasts - working over the weekends is lame, but toy collectors gotta get paid!

Anyway, the ending. Nice. You covered just about everything about the Faction Feud, then read my Twitter comment! There are a few factors that make attending TFCon in particular difficult, sadly, but the big two are lack of unexpired ID and passport, and $$$$. First one isn't that hard to fix, I'm just procrastinating really. The other part... if I bought no toys whatsoever for a long time and sold off many of them, maybe. Too many expenses, before you count my toy habits, in the way.

TFCon was actually pretty cheap in the grand scheme. Rooms were cheaper, convention stuff cheaper, and food in the neighborhood was cheaper. The only thing that could cause an issue for many is just the fact it is over the border.

Errr.... can you hook me up ^_^

Passport aside, people fly all over the place, so Canada should not be a big issue. Also TFcon is RIGHT AT THE AIRPORT. You get a free shuttle bus from it to the con (Heck Derrick Wyatt used it)

All and all, everyone was awesome. Much love and respect to you Aaron for coming across the line to check out how we do things, I give that same respect to Sol Fury, Optimus Scourge, FairladyZ, TrickyDisco and others of previous years.

Thanks man. Like I said before, you guys put on a hell of a show and it is going to be a regular thing now for me I think, as long as there aren't conflicts in scheduling with other real world stuff.

How much is "cheaper" really? I mean, you can PM me instead if you don't want to throw around numbers, but I only have a vague idea about the at-convention costs. I'd also have to fly up there, not drive.

STEALTH EDIT: I just tried an estimate of the travel costs alone (no food or toys), and that looks to be at least $600 for me. That's not as hard to swing as I suggested but not a cakewalk either.

Putting travel expenses aside, because those are going to vary from person to person, place to place... Hotel cost was something like 120 a night, and the show starts Friday so there is less initiative to spend those extra days there. Meals were cheaper by half, at least this year, since it wasn't captive hotel food at Disney. There were plenty of dining options within a block walk from fast food to fast casual. I ate decently for a day for the price of one meal at BotCon this year.

Like I said your mileage may vary. If you live in California then it is going to be cheaper for you to attend BotCon most likely than it is going to be heading to TFCon. My travel costs were around 70 dollars for gas and another 10 or so for tolls and the like. Nothing like the 250 in payments that go to the airline.

Serioeusly, listining to the podcast hearing "Groove" as fster than "Blast Off' the spaceship, I was just kinda thinking "....."
I'd actually think of the police car or helicopter as faster.... But getting an another Aveo Swerve had to of been worth it....

I do love the more chill experience of not having to spend all my con time working on my G1 collection. TFcon seems right up my alley. Got some big changes next year but we'll see, maybe I can make it!

And I would have gotten Blast Off. I love studying the Universe books and tech specs.
