    WTF@TFW's Poncho Photoshoot Contest
    Sponsored by [IMG]

    GUIDELINES
-Entries are a SINGLE photo of a Transformer wearing some sort of poncho, ideally custom-made by the photographer

-Judging will be done by the aggregate male hivemind of the WTF@TFW regular podcast crew

-Atmosphere, creativity, the effectiveness of the poncho, and the structure of the shot will be the main judging points

-The Transformer CANNOT be Animated or ROTF Lockdown, because he has already done the poncho harder than any of us can hope to match up to

-Entries are to be emailed to [email protected]

-Entries will be accepted up until 11:59pm Pacific Time on Monday, June 7 2010

-You may only make ONE entry. Don't rush it! Make it a good one!

    PRIZES

Big thanks to HLJ.com for sponsoring this contest with some tasty prizes!

    -Alternity Bumble
    -Alternity Megatron (Black)
    -Japanese TF Animated Lockdown
-Japanese TF Animated Lockdown vs Ratchet 2-pack

We will be selecting the top (insert number of prizes) pictures, and in order of our rankings, their photographers will choose from the prize pile.

    RULES CLARIFICATIONS

For now just email them to the gmail address. After the contest is over I'll do up a post with all the entries at once.

As long as it's one photo!

Technically yes, so long as your entry is a single image file. Bear in mind that if it's enormous, or contains a large number of sub-images, that may lessen its overall impact on some of us when we judge it. You're really going to want to avoid collaging like 8 or 9 images in a cluster and sending that in.

The entries must be photos of actual toys wearing actual ponchos.

Yes, though if you want to win, the overall theme of the photo should include Transformers content of some kind.

It must be a real physical poncho.

The primary components (poncho, toy involved with the poncho) must be real and physical and present in the photo. If you feel photoshopping effects or backgrounds will make your entry more artistically effective then go for it. Post-production does not, on its own, guarantee that an entry is better than a well-done un-retouched entry, though.

Feel free to ask for any rules clarifications if you need them!

I haven't forgot about Signal Lancer!

It's kinda of weird how opinions differ from message board to message board.
In certain circles the view of the Hall of Fame nominees is that Dinobot totally surprised Hasbro. Evidenced by how long it took to get his page up on Friday.

Personally, I think the best thing about Alan Tudyk joining the cast for TF3 is that maybe, just maybe, we'll get a Human Alliance Alan Tudyk figure. Perhaps partnered with an Autobot who gets unexpectedly and tragically killed at the start of the third act.

    Viewer Response to Viewer Question

Transformers Vs. Diaclone would be a good crossover.

Like The Diaclone Agency builds robot duplicate mechs of the Autobots and Decepticons to Pilot and force the Real Transformers Off World.

If only as a one shot episode in the a cartoon series to homage the original diaclone story with the drivers and Mecha Themes portrayed in the Vintage Commercials.

Possibly also Computer Warriors. Though that would just be all the microman g1 robots or Real Gear robots; versus battle base applicances with sentient computer program pilots.

Not the most impressive set up as we really want fiction about Giant "the fate of Earth hangs in the balance" Robots rather than micro robots.
    ---

Aestheticly I'd like to see more Transformer Robot Modes styled like
Armored Core. With A selection of swappable weapons. Perhaps even weapon Kits.

The Eastern Robot Audiences look for a Transformers Capabilitys. Speed, Strength. Weapon Loadout. As Technical as Possible.

While western tastes care more for if the Transformer simply looks fast by being lanky, or looks powerful from the shape or width of their shoulders.

More vents, Rivets, more exposed actuators and hydraulics. It would be neat to see Hasbro go all out in addapting these more gritty model kit stylings into mass produced Transforming action figures.

    ---
Fembot-Looking around. Allspark battes Incinerator could be a Fembot Character. Since the lines are slimming Do to Those blades for hands there fortunately won't be much social interaction for her.

Well the lamest of crossovers or versus would be Godzilla vs. Transformers, but to me would be cool IMO. But still a cool podcast to listen too, the contest is ingenious, but I'm probably not going to enter it, because my Transformers are in boxes.

    Sweet can't wait to listen!

And a bit of a question for Vangelus, (although it''s probably been asked a thousand times) can I just shoot you a PM with a listener question?

And can the poncho entries be TF toys wearing ponchos, or pictures?
