Bay reminds me of a little child in his movie making were he will just throw in everything and anything that immediately comes to mind without thinking how it's all going to line up and make sense. I think your giving these people way to much credit thinking that they will try and go back and make sense of anything they've done before. |

The idea of a story focusing around the origins of that conflict is one that I have actually wanted to see told myself. I like the idea of a Transformers series aimed at older audiences, making it a little more dramatic rather then cartoonish and aimed at children. I have also considered the idea of a series based around perhaps a second Great War, where the Autobots had one the first war. The idea would be something like the Decepticons have been thought to be long gone, either they integrated into the Autobots or died out, either way the Decepticons are thought to passed into history. Then one day there is a terrorist like bombing of an Autobot military outpost, or a civilian building where we would follow the characters who are sent to investigate this bombing (and continue to follow them as they uncover the deeper layers of the mystery) and discover signs that it was done by Decepticons. Like a 'Con symbol burned into the wall with some sort of slogan, or a badge or icon in the ruble.
I would see it being sort of a smaller cast like in Animated, you know following a character like say Nightbeat or someone a little lesser known, and their team as they stumble across the re-emergence of the Decepticons ready to plunge Cybertron into a new war.
Well, that is just my thoughts on a more mature Transformers series that I know Hasbro is probably never even going to look at, let a lone do.
I thought that Vangelus' idea of a series focusing on the united Cybertronian race over throwing the Quintessons, and then following as the different factions emerge as the Cybertronians frature into two different ideological hemispheres. Something exploring the actually ideology of each faction, like what do they stand for other then the typical good vs. bad sort of stuff. As well as you know seeing relationships, like maybe something like Thundercracker and Bluestreak being best friend before the war, but an incident after the defeat of the Quintessons drives a wedge between them that forces them to choose sides and end their friendship.
Though again, I think we will never see a TV series that would follow themes and story arcs like this. We might be lucky and someday someone might take a stab at with a comic series, but even then I doubt it.
I think it is a little sad that Hasbro won't do this, but I suppose there is no point in really crying over milk that will never be spilt. |

Keep it clean! | I have no problem with you talking about games, its just you are never happy/nor praise them when you talk about games. Its makes me cry.
Its just too much to handle, too much I say Quote:

I really have no desire whatsoever to dwell on TF3 or Michael Bay or most certainly not Megan Fox, haha. Maybe next year!
Never played any Metal Gear game due to lack of the "awesome" consoles (only Wii for now). Or Chrono Trigger! But I would fully endorse and listen to a totally-off-topic video game TFW episode or even series, were Vangelus inspired/crazy enough to try it.
You know, that last listener question discussion didn't mention the Japanese stuff that we've gotten. Violen Jiger and Legion, for example, are quite out there. But considering how simple/WTF those stories get, and that they don't delve into what sets them apart from Decepticons, I like the answers you guys had to share much, much more.
