Vangelus, All you need to know about Common Core is summed up by this study. Which indicates that Canadian students' math scores have declined every year since common core was adopted. http://www.cdhowe.org/pdf/commentary_427.pdf I appreciate your willingness to have an open mind on such subjects, but the fact is that Common Core just doesn't work as a method for teaching mathematics to students. Sincerely, a trained educator
Just cause I feel this needs to be Corrected. Elmyra has a Family and they were on Tiny Toons She was not "virgin birth" outta Elmer Fudd. Now if you excuse me I gotta wash out my Brain. Dammit Vangelus. (Gonna have nightmares cuz of you)
I don't see Pretenders happening either. Duocons and Multiforce is an interesting play pattern however... which is essentially what Overlord is ... a giant Duocon.
I dont see Pretenders being the next iteration of Generations. I see Hasbro going for Micromasters. The Titan Master Pricepoint being replaced by the Micromaster Combiners like Spaceshot and Blackout Legends being populated with Transports like Erector Deluxe class being the old 4 Bot Patrols Voyagers being split between Bases and 6 bot combiners Leader Class having guys like Star Convoy, Super Megatron, and Violen Jiger Titan class figure for the year being Grandus.
It's so weird how you bring up the futility of getting into the minutiae of pre release movie material, cause I've been re listening to old podcasts and that's exactly what you guys were doing for ROTF. Not complaining, I just think it's interesting cause I've basically just experienced seven years worth of change in someone's attitude in a couple hours. By the way, I encourage the other listeners to go back to those older episodes and listen to some of that speculation cause it's legit hilarious in hindsight.
I had tons of fun with that stuff back when ROTF was in production. But yeah 3 movies and 7 years later you get a mixture of burn-out and general attitude change.
That was also coming off of the second movie, where our imaginations ran wild with excitement of possibilities. I think most of those those early hopes are long since crushed.
On The Last Knight... I dig high fantasy and mythology, so a film that builds off the knight theme from Age of Extinction is right up my alley. And the logo? I love it. Greeble aside? It has a very 70s/80s fantasy/sci-fi vibe. It puts me in mind of the sort of logo you'd see on an old school "choose your own adventure" book. That, and the classic Doctor Who logo. So I'm actually excited for an upcoming live-action Transformers film for the first time since Revenge of the Fallen
I've been listening to the old ones, too, and thought the same thing. Happy late birthday Aaron. So we have handfeel and now memoryfeel.
Hi guys! Thanks for answering my question! It's always a pleasure to hear your thoughts. I am in the same boat where I don't think they would do straight up pretenders with the static shell. My own personal want would be like what they did with the classics Thunderwing, give us the robot with a cool alt mode and leave it at that. Some of the the pretenders were kind of generic looking might not work as well, but the stand outs would be great!
I think Josh Duhamel will be part of a flashback. Awhile back the peterbuilt was used in shots for tf5 with a different paint and decals. Seeing as how prime is in space currently, and the peterbuilt was his previous alt-mode I think we will get to see what happened between tf3-tf4. Just a theory, but I think the movie will have three parts. 1. Flashback(s) showing the demise of Nest and rise of 'Cemetery Wind' in its place, resulting in the hunt for cybertronians and its human members. 2. Galvatron shenanigans on earth prompting Autobot intervention. 3. Primes continued massacre across the galaxy hunting the quintessons.
For the third part of the toy trilogy I think most logical is Beast Wars... It's an excuse to do Dinobots, Abominus, and Predaking, while also doing the actual Beast Wars cast.
Hey, I listen. I even have it on loop and end up listening a couple times. If they do pretenders, they ought to sell them like combiners, shell and bot separately and you can customise who you want together.
