Ugh, that MST Kickstarter's casting is so full of nerd pandering. I... I just think it looks kinda awful so far.
Hey Seth, you mentioned your Detolfs shaking when you open them. That's common, and what you can do is put some electrical (or similar) tape on the piece of metal that the magnet sticks to in order to lessen the strength of that connection. You may also want to snip a small piece of note card and put it under the piece of tape. Either way, you should be able to play around and get it to a strength that holds the door shut just perfectly.
Buy One Get One and then whatever the deal is. Toys R Us typically will do BOGO 40% deals on things like Skylanders.
In reference to the listener question, I like to see how the characters are represented across the history, so I have multiple versions of a character grouped together. I like seeing how the characters evolved over the years, what changes and what stays the same. I think I'm an oddity in the fandom for that since most people seem to display by series or best version.
If it's got high-end level articulation. I wouldn't mind a figure building system of lost models. It'll be like hero mashers but not suck. If someone is going to make a transforming toy of that line, I'd use that one robot they made a teaser of him slowly transforming. Otherwise, this is a golden opportunity to make "indie transforming toys" since Hasbro doesn't want them to exist.
Couple more tips for Seth. Attach the top to the wall if you haven't. It can only shake so much when it's mostly fixed in place. Another thing you should try is aquarium air hose. The rubbery cuffs that cusion the shelves from the metal frame don't last very long and the common fix is to make new ones out of the air hose. It's pretty easy and you end up making longer cuffs and adding them in more areas to cut down on clatter. Hope that helps
