Of corse, I would like to play Gamecube games on it. Ive been running the composite cables between the projector and cube, and it kinda looks like ass. My Gamecube is an older model with the digital AV out port. Problem is, Nintendo no longer makes the cables, and they cost an insane amount of money on e-bay (Ive seen $80+). So are there any 3rd parties that make those cables, or am I screwed if I want progressive scan? |

Good luck

By compnent cable, are you referring to a Video/Left Audio/Right Audio cable?
Or do you mean a RGB cable? I'm curious, because a $100 price tag on an AV cable is ridiculous. But also great, as I have a RGB scart cable.

The term RGB can refer to so many things in the video spectrum
RGB SCART(not used in the US)
RGBHV=VGA
RGBYUV=YPbPr=Component is what Gigs is asking about.

I remember at launch it was pointed out they never licensed the design out to any third parties, the way they did controllers and memory cards, so you (and I) are pretty much screwed now that big N stopped making these. (though you'd think they would sell the design NOW, don't ya?) |
