I know! I got to play the demo at Best Buy yesterday and it made the wait even harder for me. I wish I could've played more than one race but my family was just killing time before supper and Best Buy in Seven Oaks Mall in Abbotsford was the last stop. Let's just drop the name there for people in the area who want to try. Boy was watching my dad play ever painful. He was great at Mario Kart Wii but I guess he forgot how to play in a year. He found the anti-gravity a bit disorienting which was a bit surprising but now that I think about it, he can't play 3D platformers for the same reason. I had no problem at all adjusting to the anti-gravity; in fact, I didn't really notice it. I played on Water Park which does pretty much go completely vertical at one point. I played as Lemmy and I don't have a clue what parts I used due to being rushed. All I know is that I had high traction.
Well, I went and pre-ordered my copy and got my little Blue Shell poster (though trying to get a 12x16 frame for this thing is pretty tough). Talked a little with the staff and they're also excited for it. Plus I can't wait for my free Pikmin 3!
I keep forgetting the games coming out this weekend. I don't think I'll have the cash till next month for it.
Oh yeah, I think maybe we should try to compete against each other at some point in MK8. I think it'd be very fun, my NNID is Kujo1597 and I'm free from 7:00PM to 2:00AM Pacific. Which is pretty late for people on the east coast though... I'm actually really looking forward to playing online in general. I loved online play in Mario Kart 7 and Wii. I think that I'll be spending most of my time online once I unlock all the characters. It'd be funny if we happened to bump into each other while casually playing online. If we do feel free to tell me since I probably wouldn't notice.
I had no idea they were doing a demo thing for MK at the BB here in Abby. Mayhaps I will have to check it out. Thanks for the info
