Got a pretty sweet deal. Scored this Game Gear with 8 games, booklets and carrying case for 40$. Screen has very few scuffs, but will need to change a few capacitors inside to address the low sound/low contrast issue that plagues nearly every Game Gear. 10$ in parts and 1 hour worth of desoldering/soldering to get it back in pristine shape.

I've done it before, so I know exactly what I'm getting into.

 

Just pre ordered Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain for pic. Got a code off eBay for discount price.

 

I might need to replace my PS3's Blu-Ray Disc Drive again for the second time soon, or worst case scenario buy another PS3.

Otherwise, I've lately been using my usual video game money for art commissions on deviantART instead.

I originally had Vanquish and sold it but regretted it. Was happy to find it locally for under 10 bucks! As for Metal Gear, that's a variant I didn't have, so it's going in the MGS collection with the others. Castlevania, on the Wii, never tried it and at $5, why not?

 

Snagged Marvel Vs Capcom, the fate of two worlds Steelbook at GameStop earlier.
Make no mistake, I have no intention of playing MVC, I liked the artwork on the case (so gorgeous, and in great condition) and it was under $20.
I wanted to get Far Cry 3, but the LEGO Dimensions Preorder nagged me into leaving Vasz and his hapless victim on the counter.
I went in looking for the Square Enix Ultimate Action Three-pack as well as Dynasty Warriors Gundam Reborn, but GameStop didn't have the former in-stock while the latter wasn't even in their system. (Due to the fact that DWGR didn't get a physical release over here, which sucks)

Don't know/care if it counts, but I grabbed God of War; Ascension off PSN for free (PS Plus FTW)

Paid off LEGO Dimensiond for WiiU
Had basically enough to pay off Fallout 4 (for Xbox One) when I traded in some of the PS3 titles I had (but hadn't played since I had first put them in the console) alongside a gift card. Now I just have to save up gift cards for the Xbox one and I'll be all set come November the tenth.

 

Picked up King of Fighters Collection Orochi Saga for Wii today for $7. Haven't played any KoF games since the PS1 so I'm looking forward to trying this out once I'm back from holidays.

 

i bought 2 Gioteck VX-1 bluetooth controllers for ps3. as extras for the few times of year i may play games with people on the same console. they're lighter, and a little bigger than the standard ps3 controllers. but they seem to work just fine. they will not turn the console on though. they require 2 AA batteries. but they still feel lighter even with the batteries. there is no vibration, or sixaxis. but for the price they are actually rather decent controllers. I only bought them for very limited use. they are meant to be temporary, until sony's official controllers begin to go on clearance.

but for the price, 12.99, they are really good controllers. placement of the start and select buttons could of been better though. they're a bit awkward to get to over the sticks.

they have no external device to attach to the playstation. they are completely bluetooth.

recently, i bought a collection of PS2 games that i can't wait to try (half-life!!! WOOP-WOOP).

picked up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain for PS4 and paid off Super Mario Maker that is coming next Friday for the Wii U.

Skyrim Legendary Edition on PC

 

So after many, many years of purposely avoiding getting drawn into playing video games as I'm well aware how much I get into them and they become a massive time sink, I've, yes, started playing video games.

I put my back out and was off work for three weeks, looking for something to do and pinched the daughters XBox360 off of her since she hasn't been using it since she got her laptop. Played through Fez, which is a crazy game that I never would of solved half the puzzles without Googling them, then I found Skyrim...

And played Skyrim....

Continuously...

Then I found Dark Souls...

Then just to break things up I played through Far Cry 3...

Anywho's, long and short is that yesterday I spent far too much money on a decent gaming PC, and I have a list of a dozen games ear marked to download from Steam as soon as it gets here, plus tonnes of Skyrim mods that I want to try out, and I'm starting to get far too excited about games that I've seen will be coming out next year. And I'll be recording Let's Plays for a lot of them.

Fun times

Yeah, World Heroes isn't the best game by any stretch of the imagination but I still like it.
