Ah, thanks! I looked at Best Buy just because that's the first that came to my mind. I'll go check out Newegg right now then.

I'm getting back in the game, just ordered the stuffs for an i7 4790 system with 16GB RAM and a 250GB SSD. Probably don't requalify for the master race yet though as I'm hanging on to my stopgap GTX 750ti until I know what I'm going to need for VR.

Wolfenstien New Order and Alien Isolation have gone strait to the top of my shopping list now, although I better finish the 4 games I already have in progress before starting anything new.

Drop down to 8gb ram and an i5 and get your self a better graphics card. Get the new gtx 960. They start at $200 and perform a hell of a lot better then a 750ti. Also in gaming i5 and i7 perform really close. Unless you do some productive stuff like movie production or cad. The difference between an i5 and i7 is i7 has hyperthreading and in gaming the hyperthreading isn't used. I have an oculus rift dk1 it runs smooth on my system. I'm using a 6 core amd fx, 8gb ram and gtx 760.

I've already got money ready for a new video card on top of the above, just not feeling the urge until shit settles down or I loose patience. I'll be getting a new monitor early next year, so will probably do the whole display setup then.

Anybody know how to get these headphones to work with my PC? Amazon.com: Nakamichi Fashion Headphones - Orange: Electronics These are the exact pair I have (I haven't bought any new ones yet...), and I thought I'd try again to get them to work. I'm searching Google right now, but I thought I might get a better response if I asked here too. I can't seem to find the driver I need...

I can't see why not. Headphones are pretty universal.

That's what's bugging me too. I plug them in: I even have a router I use to it can be plugged into both the audio and mic ports, but nothing. Do I need a particular driver?

No driver is usually needed. Maybe go to sound settings under control panel with them plugged in and see if they show up on the listing. If they do select them as default.

So, I don't know if this the right place to ask this, but it is related to pc gaming.

I got a bunch of .psk files, which is how Unreal tournament stores 3D model for objects and characters. And I need them converted into .obj format so I can open them in lightwave 3D.

Does anyone know of a program or plugin to make this possible?

I just was playing around with my Core i7 2600 (Non-K Sandy Bridge) and got a stable overclock out of it of 4.0 Ghz (up from 3.4Ghz). Not bad for a CPU that is supposedly not overclockable.

Just picked up three new 27" monitors and got Nvidia Surround all set up :D

Some program don't use Surround mode too well, but you can switch between modes pretty easily. It even lets you set the games up to include the bezels in the monitors, so it looks like the images in the game pass behind the bezels, pretty awesome.

My desk is too small lol gonna have to get a bigger desk, and maybe some little pieces to affix the monitors together so they line up perfectly.

So far all my games seem to work great, except kerbal space program won't include the bezel correction.

I super jelly. I got 3x24 inch but I don't use eyefinity (ATi) cos I do too much that needs independent screens; plus a shitload of games don't scale their menus and title screens propperly. Usually I have 4 screens but my DP>DVI adaptor died.

Some games work good, others not really. First person shooters and racing games work very well. Civizilation is really cool, you can see massive amount of map at once.

I bought the monitors for recording music and games. The extra desktop really makes a difference.

ooo im looking for a 970 or hoping evenly a 980, but im in canada, and the exchange rate on the dollar would kill me right now.

That card does 4K I believe too, right?

I got my new monitors setup, but only running a GTX 650, so I gotta turn the graphics down a bit to play my games smooth. Takes a lot to run the games at 5760x1080 lol
