Your account will transfer easily, you just need to sign in during the initial startup. Nothing else to it.

I think it is only the 2TB model.

yes, just the 2TB. the 1TB will be restocked soon.

i will have to get the 1TB. unless Microsoft decides to contine the Xbox One S 2TB on a later date.

...unless it is about the Scorpio and that would explain why Microsoft discontinued the 2TB.

Makes sense really. Don't want to over produce something that wont sell.

Well typical me can't seem to pull the trigger on buying the One. It's pretty much because of the game selection I guess. Reading reviews on the newer games a lot of them didn't do so well while others are just ports from the 360. Isn't the point of next gen consoles to give you something new and improved , hence the word NEXT or am I missing the big picture.

I'm not sure how you don't see it exactly as you said, "new and improved", since that's what the One is. Ironically, features I either didn't know it did or didn't think much of were the ones that I've now come to value the most; I had no idea it was a Blu-Ray player (and a very good one IMHO), so it gave me a BR player for my living room. I didn't think much of the whole screenshot/record feature, yet I use it far more often then I thought and even post some of them to my personal feed to share with others.

For the most part the games do feel like slightly better looking games from the 360, but at the same time, outside of the jump to 3D and the occasional big tech jump, doesn't that occur in every system transition? Also just because there doesn't seem to be a big jump doesn't mean that it's not meaningful; LEGO Dimensions had to cut the wandering dinosaurs out of Jurassic World on the 360 because the 360 (and PS3) simply couldn't handle the processing requirements of that entire world so something had to go (along with many other changes but that was one of the easiest to spot and made a large difference). The One/PS4 gets the full experience because it can handle them. Small, largely inconsequential differences can add up to slightly different overall experiences.

As someone else has mentioned, it's not next, it's current gen at this point. That's what's out there and it's up to you to decide if you want to be current or not. (And please, don't read that with any kind of harshness or malice, but as a decision that is up to you to make on your own because you're the best judge for your situation.)

Truthfully, i don't think we will see another tech jump like the transition from 16 bit to polygons. I remember that shocking the hell out of me.

Can anyone tell me why my xbox one needs to be connected to the internet in order for me to watch anything on the bluray player?

    I can't because mine doesn't unless it's a very recent change.

Yeah, maybe make sure it's set to "My home xbox." When my internet went out I had a similar problem where it wasn't set as my home console so I couldn't watch BDs. Of course, it can only be set to home xbox whilst connected.

Which of course, is just wonderful. Because it doesn't come that way when you get it, and nobody would logically think that needs to be set for something as simple as that, so I still had to wait until my internet came back.

Have you tried a VR headset yet? They are unreal. Definitely the equivalent from 16bit to polygons in my opinion. While the graphics aren't a whole lot better, the way you view the screens and interact with the game is mind blowing and I can see VR being the future of gaming. After trying the HTC Vive, I immediately wanted to go buy one and was disappointed in my lame UHD monitor, mouse and keyboard when I got home haha.

I can say I have never been impressed in new video game technology since going from the SNES to the N64.

Man, I thought it was a terrible idea until I tried one at the mall here last month. Full 360 degree 3D gaming in full HD, it's so realistic in movements, and even your peripheral view works just like real life. It's pretty nuts.

If you can find a demo somewhere definitely give them a try. I tried a set at the Microsoft store in the mall here. Would love to see them be supported by Xbox or PlayStation in the future, as I only got one PC here that I can play them on that's powerful enough to run them, and it's in my studio where there isn't enough room to setup them to move around, and I don't really wanna keep moving my PC around Everytime i wanna play.

Our consoles are all in the living room.

Seeing only 7 were left in stock, I quickly purchased an Xbox One S. Of course I won't be using it right away, I'm going to store it away for when my brother eventually leaves for college and takes our current One with him.
