Man I'd love to have a Saturn for nostalgia's sake.

I'm a huge Sonic fan and all, but it's the 3DS version for me. The 3DS with its streak of great Nintendo games makes me more confident than the Wii U with its streak of no games.

Holy shit, I was into the game before when it just looked like Sonic Xtreme, but Xtreme meets Colors? I might have to pre-order this.

Does anyone own a Wii-U? I'm so disgusted it's a Wii-U exclusive (had sworn off Nintendo once I got the xbox), but it looks too good to pass up. Is the Wii-U a worthwhile purchase?

Remember folks... How dare Nintendo have exclusives! Only other consoles can have exclusives!

Haha, but this is the first time where it's mattered for me. I was hoping not to have to double dip in this upcoming generation... It's less the fact that this game is coming out on Nintendo only and more the fact that the franchise won't see any non-Nintendo releases for the next few years.

Well it's more... Nintendo fans will actually buy sonic instead of going "No blood... no tits?! Where is my GORE?! MY TITS! MY ASS! MY GUNS! OH GOD I NEED MY GUNS! AND TITS! OTHERWISE HOW WILL PEOPLE KNOW I'M A MAN! BLOOD! TITS! GUNS! GOOOOOORE!"

    The truth in it.

Sonic sells best on Nintendo hardware. True fact.

Does anyone know how well Generations sold in comparison to Sonic Colors? TBH, I preferred Colors to Generations because there were no side quests that required me to bounce a sign post to the goal, or knock music notes back to an alligator.

I don't know how reliable VG Chartz is but going off that site here's how the sales of modern era Sonic games break down:

    SA:
    *Dreamcast-2.42m
    *GCN-1.27m

    SA2:
    *Dreamcast-.12m
    *GCN-2.56m(!)

    Heroes:
    *GCN-1.6m
    *PS2-2.96m
    *Xbox-.9m

    Shadow:
    *GCN-.99m
    *PS2-.60m
    *Xbox-.18m

    Sonic 06:
    *PS3-1.12m
    *360-.97m

    Secret Rings:
    *Wii-2.6m

    Unleashed:
    *Wii-1.99 million
    *PS3-.92m
    *360-.85m
    *PS2-.76m

    Colors:
    *Wii-1.48m
    *DS-1.15m

    Generations:
    *PS3-1m
    *360-.92m
    *3DS-.75m
    *PC-.08m

Heroes is the only time Sony was shown to be a more attractive prospect for Sonic. Sonic games on Nintendo regularly sell about 1.5m or more while they're lucky to hit 1 million on other systems. Generations did pretty good compared to some games but I have a feeling the numbers would have been far higher for the Wii if it got a port. I'm not saying Sonic should be Nintendo only but I think the Wii U should be their primary focus since the hedgehog engine that Generations used can now work on Nintendo consoles without being downscaled.

I'd say those sales are pretty accurate.
And yes, Wii U and 3DS should be SEGA's focus. You're right.
