I'm an unabashed PlayStation fanboy, but that is not cool. I can only hope that this means they are going to give better free games every month. As of now, the only reason I have it is for multiplayer and the reduced sale prices. However, I only have one game that I really need multiplayer for on PS4 (Battlefront and sometimes Uncharted 4's multiplayer), and there aren't any multiplayer focused games I plan on buying within the next eight months (Battlefield is a maybe though). I'm probably going to cancel my subscription once my next three months are up and renew it when I need it.

Looks like Sony won't be allowing mods at all.

 

That's kind of odd I wonder whats behind that? Maybe they would be afraid of inappropriate content? I would assume user mods are free on Xbox, maybe Sony was looking at a way to try charging for them and concluded they couldn't do it so they didn't want to pursue it?

This Day in PlayStation History: Crash Bandicoot Anniversary

Happy anniversary to Crash Bandicoot. I am also 20 years old, so Crash has been a part of my gaming life since the very beginning. Crash Bandicoot 2 was the first video game I ever played, and one of the first I ever owned. Crash Bandicoot 3 is still one of my all-time favorite games (which makes it the fourth Naughty Dog game in my top ten favorites). It's a shame that he went to Activision and the franchise was run into the ground for a little while since I think he is the best of the arcadey console mascots. I can't wait for the remastered original trilogy and hopefully a new game on the horizon.

 

My guess as to why is because some mods could pose a security risk to the PS4.

 

I just hope the Crash remakes replaces the horrid horrid horrid horrid crash 1 save feature. Even back then the idea of a game having such a save feature is horrendous and whoever thought of that should be shot.... with a beanbag. (non lethal.. but painful!)
