Searched around the site and was surprised to not find a thread on this game. If I somehow missed it, please have mercy on me. Anyway, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is, as many of you may have guessed, the fourth game in the series, taking place after Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves. It is not being developed by Sucker Punch, but instead by Sanzaru Games, the team behind The Sly Collection. So far, it looks pretty good. Some new gameplay was recently released. Check it out: Sly Cooper 4 Won
I love, love love LOVE me some Sly Cooper, but really I was quite happy with the way it had wrapped up the story in 3 and don't know how happy I am about that ending being overturned. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this, though.
Sly Cooper 1 was the first game I completed. I've completed over 70 games by now, but Sly still stands out. Lots of fond, nostalgic memories. A day one purchase for me, definitely. I have faith in you, Sanzaru! You'd best reward that faith or face my wrath!
Vita??! Yesssssss!!!! I wonder how the cross platform stuff works. I assume I would have to buy the game on PS3 and Vita. :/ I wonder if they can tie it to the Vita with a downloadable version.
So, this is being released soon. Anyone else excited? A few demos are up on PSN and they definitely feel like Sly Cooper. Main thing turning me off at this point is the length; it sounds like it may wind up being relatively short.
I'll remain cautiously optimistic, for now. I'm still not sure how I feel about returning to Sly on principle, but I've got the demo downloaded on my PS3 to check out tonight.
So anyone else get this? I picked it up this morning but probably won't have a chance to play it until tomorrow unfortunately.
Actually, Crossbuy worked first day for PS All Stars, so I dunno what you're talking about, since that's onc of the first disc games to support Crossbuy, so they haven't really had time to "establish a (Per Usual Sony)" on that matter. But yeah, it still sucks that it's not up because I wanted to continue my game at work. Game is solid as fuck though. I missed these characters.
Right. But that was explained way before the game came out. The launch of the Vita version would come the following year. The Vita version of Sly is out. Thus there is a hickup in their system, one that has only occurred now with a game launched on the same day. I don't disagree that it sucks balls. But they don't have a "record" of doing this as the statement expressed.
Something very cool I just found out. It's an easter egg, but some might consider it a spoiler. Spoiler Clockwerk is in the game. If you look around, he's in each level perched somewhere observing what's going on. Fucking. Awesome.
I know the VITA isn't super popular, but I love the way they incorporated into the game. You can use it as a "visor" and look at your screen and see where the hidden things are in the world.
