So I can open a case and get one to three items, for example?

Oh! Opening cases, no. 1 item, in either strange or normal, various wear, and in a tiered system now.

Cases are not worth it really. Easier just to trade for it.

Not blowing money on skins is super generous to me right now. Idk about ya'll. :p

Also, we need to see about some new custom maps for the server. When Pally figures things out that is. Dunno if he's still having trouble with the server/Volvo being difficult.

    This one looks fun IMO.

Still have to figure a way for SOME people *glares in the direction of Canada* to be able to use the maps.

New update dropped tonight and with it, Matchmaking Beta Passes are being sent out to select members of the Competitive Matchmaking Steam Group, kind of like how Overwatch passes were being sent out, although you'll probably have better luck with this.

Also, some kind of stat clock was added that makes a Civilian grade weapon strange or something, I dunno. I don't really care about skins.

Finally, on the list of notable things, you can only gift wrap tradeable items from now on. On the plus side, the Bounty Hat, Treasure Hat, and Hat of Undeniable Wealth and Respect are now tradeable.

At last I can become the demopan I was always meant to be.

Assuming it's not valued over a key.

Yeah, we've tried and tried to help him.

    I guess we've tried.

Welp, if we use any custom maps, I guess Autovolt's probably going to have a bad time.

So competitive matchmaking is finally up and I'm finding it much more exciting than pubs full of gibuses tripping over each other.

And in Steam news, non-authenticated users will now have to wait 15 days to complete trades and market purchases. Don't have phone service on your android? Get a free SMS number from Google Voice. Don't have an android phone at all? Then Gabe says you can suck his nuts.

Also, Valve will not be restoring stolen items anymore since these bars are for our own protection. If Sergei finds another loophole in Valve's security, well, Mr. Newell has other places you can wrap your lips around.

"Non-athenticated?" You mean you need to link up your steam app on your phone? Or do you just need Steam Guard?

You have to have the mobile authenticator enabled on the mobile app or else your trades and market purchases are held for half a month.

I went ahead and did this stupid Mobile authenticator, but what is Valve's reasoning behind this? This combined with not replacing stolen items makes it seem like they want to make everything more difficult for us.

Authenticator: to promote the mobile app.

Not returning stolen items: Maybe i'm not interpreting this correctly, but maybe they're trying to get people to be more responsible? Who knows.

In any case, when the number of stolen item complaints spikes tremendously, they'll probably reverse their decision.

I don't think one can be responsible when it comes to some 13-year-old hacking you for your items.
