So i'm guessing it will be like Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 and SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, two games based on the same idea just each being a unique version made by each company.
So will Capcom's one be 2d and Namco's one be 3d (yeh I know Capcom can make 3d fighters but just wonder if that may be the case with this bizarre decision)?
Incompatible fighters are incompatible. Gimped Street Fighters or outmatched Tekken dudes, take your pick!
I really can't understand how this can work. I mean not only will they compete with Marvel but also each other. Zangief VS Jack would be awesome.
It has happened before. Capcom Vs SNK is the more remembered game, but there was also ‘SVC Chaos’ by SNK on the Neo Geo hardware. It would actually be a dream come true for me to see this situation again; a VS Game by Capcom done in Street Fighter IV style and another by SNK done in the new KOF style. But, in regards to Namco, I’m right there with you on having a hard time seeing the concept work. Some of the Namco fighting characters have had projectile-like moves, but none of them have had anything like the Capcom fighters. Maybe all the Namco characters could have the ability to hit the Capcom characters 12 or 13 times when they are on the ground to even things out, I don’t know. Would anyone be able to withstand Pac-man after he has a power pellet though?
