I think Capcom should scrap this game and release PSN/XBLA versions of their old fighters.

I doubt cvs2 will come out because of licensing arrangements, but if it did I'd be buying that game in an instant. Personally I liked the interface of CVS and CVS pro better, but cvs2 was an amazing game and was a great example of how to get a fighting game crossover right I think.

Not that sfxt is a bad game necessarily, it's just not a great game I think. It feels like they tried to make it too many things at once and just didn't pull it off as well as other games like tekken tag. In a lot of ways it sort of feels like just a big mod pack for street fighter iv and all in all it comes across as similar to (though better than) capcom fighting jam.

With all this being said though, I recognize that it took a lot of work to make this game, if only to adapt the tekken characters to a game 2d plane with projectiles, and I honestly think that the attempt to expand the gameplay by incorporating a gem system would have worked if they would have focused on it being more of a bonus mode than a critical gameplay element, so I don't want to always be negative about this game. I also think it's got a lot of character to it and has a better story element than some games of recent memory (kof xii, scv for example).

Edit:

So at SRK they posted that Capcom is working on a patch now and expects it to fix the projectile issue sometime around mid june.
