Mega Man Universe Let the speculation begin! The two main theories are that it's either an MMO, or a compilation of MM games from multiple series. Personally, I'm hoping for MMO. Specially if it's a 2d platformer. Can you imagine co-op Mega Man?

Mega Man Universe...hmm...I get the feeling this may be every single Mega Man game rolled into one compilation game.

Definitely sounds like an MMO... but part of me drools over the idea of a cross-dimensional Megaman game. So I only need one game to play as X and Volnutt again.

I seriously doubt that this will be a MMO game; it's probably a compilation game that contains all the best past Mega Man games.

Maybe Wiley takes all the Robot Masters from 1-10 and basically pits them all against Megaman.
Yes. That would end up with a fuckton of powers and is probably a bad idea.

But I would like a Co-op Megaman game in the vein of that Mario game on the Wii (Except 2 players. 4 is a bit too crowded)...Maybe be able to pick between Megaman, Protoman, Bass, and the 6 Original Robot Masters (Like that Megaman game on the PSP) except less superdeformed and more along the lines of Megaman 9 or Megaman X in terms of looks...But I don't think that would work either...

If they put that on the DS, it will be the first game that I will preorder since SSBB. If it's on the consoles, then I'll be a bit more hesitant, as I have the GCN collection, and both Wiiware games.

Ah, who am I kidding, if it's classics Mega Man, I'll buy it.

Would be nice to see them release a compilation of all the mainline Mega Man games, and the X series for each console(PSP and DS I hope one would get it)

Thats hoping its a compilation since all we got is speculation

A Mega Man MMO might be cool, only if you get metal blades from 2 :D  .

Megaman Universe will be based on the X series.

Currently, the game only has a planned release for Korea, Taiwan, and China. They say there are no current plans for a Japan release. I wouldn't worry, though. It's fucking Megaman. Of course it will be released in Japan and the US.

It really makes more sense than the original series. X has the Maverick Hunters established as a large organization of reploids. Perfect for the basis of an MMO. The only thing that would have worked as well, would have been Legends, and Capcom doesn't really have the faith in that, to turn it into an MMO.

Welp, North America isn't seeing it for a while, IF EVER.

Over on Protodude's Rockman Corner Blog, it's been revealed that it's going to be Korean exclusive for now.

That's right, even Japanese won't get their mitts on MegaMan X.

I'm sick and tired of these damn language and area barriers. I want to play so many overseas games... D:

Online RPGs do shockingly well in Korea so that's no surprise, but no chance it wont hit Japan and then possibly the USA, cause they did trademark Megaman Universe for the states.

Dammit, I was really hoping it'd take place in the classic Mega Man series...

With the success of MMO's, especially World of Warcraft here in the United States, if Mega Man Universe can catch on in Korea and be successful, you can bet your house that it'll get a port to the United States and Japan. Korea is the perfect test market ... if your game can make it in Korea, it can be slightly profitable at least in the United States and Japan.
