Just wondering how do I make more Palico equipment? I am up to the Narscella quest but my cat is still in the same equips, I don't get scraps as side items for making equips like in P3rd, or see an option to make them, and onlt the defauly equips and the mario/luigi equips are available to build anyway. Any help?

I've been wondering that myself. Perhaps you have to encounter other Felynes in order for new options to be present? I'm still playing off and on between this and MM, if I encounter anything that triggers new options, I'll let you know.

UPDATE: Once you get to Cheeko Sands and do a couple quests there, you unlock the Meownster Hunters, who will go and get scraps for you allowing you to create gear for the Felynes.

Numerous google searches have also indicated that the Samus and Link extras are/will be DLC, rather than Amiibo related.

Sorry to hear that, it's definitely not for everyone.

Man some of the exhibitions can get tough. Last night I went on one that had a Tetsucabra and a Great Jaggi along with a Poogie costume to find. Little did I know that there could be more than one of each monster hanging around.

Taking out a Tetsucabra isn't that difficult, but when you get two in the same relatively confined area, it makes for quite the fight. The only downside to the exhibitions when it comes to collecting materials is that you don't get the wound cap rewards, which are essentially in creating armor/weapons, but it does let you stock up on carvings.

I've also noticed the desire engine isn't as bad as it was on the previous game. Of course that could also be because I'm still early in the game. Time will tell.

A few things that I really like about the game are the mounted attacks. Love jumping on a creatures back and hacking the hell out of it.

Another thing that I really enjoy is how many of the quests are initiated. Requiring you to talk to various people. It builds more of a story and connects the people and areas with the hunts. Previous games only had you talk to a chief or another village leader for certain quests to pop up, and most of the quest's background were just a paragraph of text at the guild office. I very much appreciate the way this game has turned out.

Well it turns out that I can't return it from where I bought it, go figure.

Well since I'm stuck with this game, might was well play it some more.
I finally chose a weapon I'm comfortable with, the switch axe.

Switch Axe is my fave as well. If you can get into the game, it'll definitely keep you busy. I clocked a couple hundred hours into the last installment. As the game progresses, and you encounter larger and more diverse monsters, it gets pretty intense.

Glad you're giving it another go.

I got a question, when you're fighting a big monster on your own do you get an attack buff or is it the same as when you fight with other people?

Completely the same. You're attack is what your weapon lists it at unless you use potions like a might pill, demon drug, or mega demon drug.

You can get attack boosts using the insect glaive (when it marks a monster red).

You can also make decorations if you've made it to Harth. Applying 10+ points in the same decoration to your armor/weapon will give you a boost. However, if you're looking for an attack boost, your defense will drop with this method.

Another way to get attack boosts is to get your felyne companiion upgraded and leveled up so you can apply new horn techniques or get more felyne companions that have a variety of horn techniques as well.

    ---------------
Just faced a Narcylla tlast night (big spider thing). Wow was that tough. Rule number 1, make sure you have some upgraded armor.

I just finished making Narscylla armor and gemming out hunger on it. It looks epic, and the capture benefits are useful for me.

Currently farming Zamtrios to make his CB, while also doing expeditions for poogie clothes and more cats. (And a few other quests here and there to unlock the next urgent, which I would assume is Gore, village 4* currently)

Congrats! Completing armor sets and upgrading weapons can be a real chore. How long did it take you to make the Narscylla armor? Just wondering, because MH is notorious for its desire engine, making it really hard to complete item sets if you are too obvious in your goal to complete.

About 6-7 hunts of it. Was pretty reasonable for a first armor set of this game.

No-where near as long as making my first Rath set back in MHF for sure.

^ Good to hear. I'm about ready to move out of Harth (only finishing 3 star quests) and was contemplating hanging around a bit to upgrade before going on to the next area.

The desire engine was why I put MH3U down for a good 8 months. I got so tired of trying to get the desired materials to upgrade my Rathalos armor and dragon maiden axe that I just couldn't play anymore.

Then I picked up and the first thing I did was complete the armor then shortly after, was able to complete the Rath Soul Armor and Deviljho axe very quickly.

I think the trick is to just do a bunch of random expeditions, quests, and then mix in the one monster quest you need to get the materials from.

Not the same, no, not exactly. Multi-player monsters have more health and are stronger, depending on how many people you've got joining you. It's not that you get any kind of buff in single player, it's more that the monsters get a buff in MP to account for the fact that you're bringing in more muscle.

Second egg hunt quest in MH4U is for herbivore eggs. In the new one you can climb up walls while carrying the egg.

On the wall closest to where the exit is to the camp, is one of those freaking bugs right at the top of the wall.

I swear they put it there just to laugh at how frustrated gamers will get.

"Let's make them have to go from zone 8 to zone 1. Yeah, and put rehenopolos in 2 areas so they'll charge at them while carrying the egg. Oh, and toss in an area with a bunch of Melynx in it. Then, we should force them through the tunnel with these bugs that roll up into balls and will roll after them faster than they can run. Then once they think they're clear, put a single Bhahabra right at the top of the ledge leading to camp."

    Hahahaha!

MH designers have been trolling for years. They're experts.

    Trolling HR:98.

I'm at the library with the family. I'm playing MH while teaching the family French. I was trying not to laugh at my egg hunting failure. It's like playing silent library.

Got this game a couple of days ago and having a blast with it! The Charge Blade is crazy fun, though I'm still practicing with it.

Currently working on my first full set of armor, Tetsucabra armor. Just need some Jumbo Bones from Kecha Wacha (love this guy, btw), and it'll be done!

I finally beat my first monster on my own, aside from my Palico of course, the Seltas.

Also I upgraded my Switch axe into a Barbarian Axe, not sure if that was a good idea yet.
