anyone here own a panasonic 3DO?

a buddy of mine collects systems, and for his birthday I picked up an original one on ebay. got it for $40, can't believe this thing cost $700 when it was new! it didn't come with any games, but he really likes doom. anyone know if there are any games at all that were good on this system?

Yes sir... Road Rash, Need for Speed (The original was on 3D0), and possibly he might like the Dungeons and Dragons game that came out for it. Possibly. If I think of some more, I'll let you know... I bought mine for 700 >< years ago. Samurai Showdown was also great on the 3d0

That system was way ahead of its time, too bad it didn't last. I used to play with the store demo all the time when I worked at Radio Shack.

Considering the PS3 was 600 bucks went it launched, the price was also ahead of its time lol. I enjoyed my time with it. It was a cool taste of the future, but at the time, I ended up playing my SNES and Genesis more.

Road Rash, Shockwave 1&2, Doom. I had one a long time ago, eventually got rid of it when we got a playstation.
