No, the game is set in lots of different cities around the world, so there's a decent mix of environments.

So far, I have to say my favourite is actually Croatia... the lushness of the greenery and danger from the rocks make every race a spectacular thrillfest.
Time for a change...

I'm actually starting to grip the controls a little better now. Last night I was on with 2 other friends and I actually WON for a change on a couple races and I even had my first clean race, not hitting anything or wrecking. I found that the key was that I was trying to "video game it" and full throttle through the whole race. Once I wrapped my head around the "right trigger is a real throttle" feel of it, I started doing much better.

Yeah thats the key in winning the races in this game. Balance your braking and throttle. My friend tried it and tried to full throttle it through a whole race like it was a old need for speed game. Ain't gonna happen lol. Just got through winning all the X Games plus Colins challenge. Cool video at the end of it.
Come read a blog that started here from TFW called Plasticon. I write video game news and reviews there.

I think I really need to buy this. I don't own any racing games yet for my PS3. I'm having such a blast with the demo and gotten good enough to place first in both of the races. Love watching my near misses and crashes in super-slow mo replay too.

There is a good amount of tracks. I think I'm 50% done with the game and haven't went through all the tracks yet. I know this because there is an achievement for doing so.

I rented it today, I have to say I like it. The last good racing game that I played was Rallysport Challenge 2 on the reg Xbox, and this is kinda close to it in all aspects .

Put a crapload of time into this today. Got up to level 23 and 35% of the trophies.

One trophy is bugging me. "Terminated." It says all you need to do is get in a terminal wreck, and I've gotten into like 5 terminal wrecks, but still no trophy.

You have to be traveling at 140 mph when you wreck to get it. I don't know where the best spot is to do it at, not enough straight stretches to get up that much speed on the maps I've been on thus far.
