the combos in this game are fun, i was getting some of Ragna's air combos down which is nice. my main issue right now is that i kind of keep going for medium kick and i have a few bad habits from street fighter i need to get rid of.

Good, I need Ragna practice for some reason...

It can be theorized that the constant knife-edge pressure has gradually gotten to Punch, and that part of him has been lost, possibly irredeemably.

Best advice I can give is this:

Find one pressure combo and one high damage combo.
Learn them till your fingers bleed
Then seek out competition

Guilty Gear style games require, no, demand maximum damage per engagement.

It took me a long time to figure out that there just isn't a defensive posture in these games that will take you anywhere.

Ragna and Noel will both do you pretty good for offense.

It can be theorized that the constant knife-edge pressure has gradually gotten to Punch, and that part of him has been lost, possibly irredeemably.

Touche'

I think her damage is on par with most though. Noel, Tager, Arakune et al can do similar damage. They just don't have the ability to do it anywhere on the screen.

ex though...

pressure: D, D, 4D, D, 236D

Damage: D, D, 4D, D, 236D~RC, D, D, 6D, D, 2D, D, jD, D, 214D

The pressure combo is long enough to verify that it is hitting, when I see that, I switch over to the damage version.

Thats actually the reason I hated the guy. I was pretty excited for him at first, and things were going great at first till he started going all crazy, especially in story mode. There is a bit of charm in it, but he takes it too far.
A charecter I was surprised at by liking however was Jin, at first I thought I was gonna hate him, but I ended up liking the guy, at least in the story.

To be honest, I have only faced her when she was computer controlled.
It's all pressure and high damage in that case.

With a little bit of HAWT thrown in.

I thought his encounter with Bang was funny.
I was a little surprised by his ending -will have to check out his story sections.

story mode is awesome, i've got to 76% with Ragna, it seems you have to lose and win every encounter to get 100%.....

starting to memorise combos too - A, A, B, 6A, 9, B, C, 9, C, D, 623D, 236C, 214C. crikes!

these numbers confuse me. why is everyone online using numbers for this game
