I saw this type on ebay
what's the USB plug for? shouldn't it be ethernet type wiring? |

#2 | | belongs to Dirge121! Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 3,137 Location: Boise, ID | It just plugs into the back of the 360 (around the top), and if it's working the light should turn on on it. Then it'll detect the available networks, pick yours and put in the WEP key and you're done. |

It picks up your wireless signal. Put in any security measures you've got any you're away.
The other option is to get an ethernet cable and hardwire the 360 to the router, which is what I do. |

on that note, is around $60 shipped a good deal for one of these? |

I tried wireless but the signal just drops all the time (admittedly that was from a PC). And that'll especially be the case through floors I think  |

It's different for other people depending on how good their internet is, and if the wireless does the trick for you then just stick with it! If it keeps disconnecting you periodically and stuff (like my crappy wireless does) I'd consider drilling a hole if you intend to play online often. It can just get frustrating when you keep getting disconnected from Live all the time. |

But if wireless is more convenient, go for it.  "Man, do I love me some 'taters."

Absolutely awful. I'm thinking of moving my router and just making it a wired one just to see the improvement. |
