The Big Band Nintendo CD music is really good. The Zelda Medley (NES & N64 TOOT) is by far one of my favorites. I recently picked up Dragon Quest the Best Symphonic/Concert arranged tracks. It covers music from the whole Dragon Warrior/Quest series. My fave of ALL favorites is the Thunder Force Special CD that came with my copy of Thunder Force V on the Sega Saturn import. Either the online retailer didn't know or I just got lucky!
I lost my copy of the game soundtrack to Magic Knight Rayearth (which is a shame considering it's IMPOSSIBLE to replace now!). The Sega S.S.T. the best is really good also. The arrangements for Space Harrier, Afterburner, Outrun, and Opa Opa are really quite good.
