Where should Metal Gear go next?

Wasn't there a Zone of Enders 2 that Kojima had no part in?

Another possibility would be a Gray Fox game set around the events of MG and MG2:SS. We need a bad ass ninja game that Itagaki hasn't touched.

An Otacon game set after MGS4 where he just sits at his computer and reviews files and videos on past events and plays Policenauts.

i'd like to see a 2D version of MGS, MGS2, MGS3, and MGS4...i though MGS: Ghost Babel for the GBA (or was it the GBC) was pretty good.

i'd like to see a 3D version of MG and MG2 too...

and a prequel to MG...starring Big Boss.

I'd like to see a squad based game where you take control of Meryl and command the Ratpack squad.

A remake of the original Metal Gear. But in full 3D. And we get to see the original Metal Gear, too.

a certain level in 4 made me want a remake of 1 real bad.

but i still want MGS2: snakes story.

A MGS game for the PSP that doesn't suck.

With the announcement of Touch, it just doesn't have that strong narrative appeal that a new full-fledged game would deliver.

A Metal Gear game featuring the Boss would be the most emotionally-charged title in the series, even MGS4. Set during WWII and in the early days of the Cold War, you'd the control the mother of CQC (close-quaters combat), so gameplay would feel like a traditional Metal Gear Solid game. Reliving memorable WWII moments but from the perspective of her legendary Cobra unit, would be great. Maybe the End missed a shot on Hitler. And in true Kojima fashion, there would be political intrigue from behind the scenes. Perhaps FDR didn't die of polio and that was just a convenient cover story. Maybe those polio shots given to kids in the 50s had a primitive form of nano-control in them through chemical control, but failed thus ultimately leading to FOXDIE. Back to the battlefield, actually control the Boss as she gives herself a c-section to give birth to Ocelot. With the onset of the Cold War, the Boss and the Sorrow, her lover and father to Ocelot, had to return to their opposing sides, the U.S. and the U.S.S.R. Then, the Boss, a.k.a. the Joy, was sent to kill the Sorrow, something she didn't want to do but orders were orders. The Sorrow even let her, sacrificing himself so she could complete her mission. Much like when Naked Snake killed the Boss (when he killed her was the moment that he died), when the Joy killed the Sorrow, so too did the Joy die.
