If by chance it does this is going to be huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge for Sony as far as the casual market. Nintendo has a stranglehold on that right now and IF (big if) this works as advertised it is something cool and appealing to families that most importantly is not just copying an innovation Nintendo already made. Here at last is something families will want that you can emphatically say could not be done on the Wii for any number of reasons. Nintendo may start regretting soon the lack of horsepower under the Wii's hood because while early in the lifecycle the advances PS3 and 360 made were all about pleasing graphics whores, we're beginning to enter territory where those systems' power will be harnessed for innovation that the Wii won't be able to keep up with.
All that depends on it working though, which seems like it would be an enormous hurdle to overcome.
