Dead Rising for Wii

In a bit of interesting game news not coming out of E3, it seems the new issue of Famitsu has pages detailing Capcom's Dead Rising coming out for Wii. From what little is known at this point this isn't a new version of the series just for Wii, but a port of the 360 version.

Well it's not the first time Capcom has ported down an "exclusive" title to a less powerful system then the original. Interested in seeing how this goes.

Don't you know! It's impossible! Nintendo can't possibly have Dead Rising! It's and HD Game! the Wii is not powerfull enough to run a calculator!
</sarcasm>

Seriously... Glad to see it even if I do have the 360 version.

And for those of you who try to say the Wii can't have 100 or so characters on screen at once.. I'd like to point out the Cube did it.. Three Times. The Mario 128 Demo. Pikman 1 and 2.

Mario 128 was a globe on a white background.

Pikmin are hardly as detailed as Frank, survivors, and a fifty five thousand zombies hungry for brains.

If you think it's gonna do similar numbers you're most likely kidding yourself.

Was there ever an instance that over a 100 zombies where on screen at one time?

Lots.

Driving through the zombies in the parking garage = insane. Wall to wall zombies in every direction.

You can get the same core gameplay using a lot less zombies, clever uses of environment and sleight of hand, but you aren't gonna get "Holy shit that's a lotta zombies" like you did on the 360.
