    Ah finally, caught a Cherubi! Platinum currently stands as such;
Prinplup (Pluck, Metal Claw, Pound, Bubble)
Staravia (Wing Attack, Quick Attack, Return, Double Team)
Ponyta (Flame Wheel, Ember, Tackle, Tail Whip)
Cherubi (Tackle, Bullet Seed, Leech Seed, Growth)

Gonna go kick Galatic's ass at the Windworks then be off for training for the next gym!

Been a while since I don't remember all the details, but if you wait outside the Windworks until Friday you'll be able to catch Drifloon.

You can always re-adjust the DS clock. There will be some time based events in the game that will temporarily get locked out, but that should only last for a day.

Just fix the blasted clock already. Whatever that will "mess up" in your save file will be completely back to normal after 24 hours.

I'll do it after Friday. Yeesh, didn't think it was so grating on people's nerves. I can't be the only one who messed up setting the clock and decided to go with it for whatever reason.

    Day 12:

Just want to log that I caught an Ekans. I'm also trying to find an Abra in the same location and just for the heck of it try to paralyze it before it teleports. Might be useless but I want to give it a shot.

Paralysis won't be that effective because Abra still has a good shot of teleporting.

Your best bet is to put it to sleep using Jigglypuff or someone of that nature.

Decided to play a few more Pokken Tournament wifi matches today after not playing for awhile and...most of my matchups were against people using Chandelure and just spamming like crazy. Well Chandelures, and the one guy I fought who used Pikachu Libre and did nothing by try and grab me.

Abra actually has a good chance of being captured by just throwing a pokeball. Probably easier and quicker to do it that way rather than risk it getting away with teleport.

    Well...

    Pokemon Log
    Poke Date March 30th, 2016
    Code Red
    Day 13:

My plan to catch Abra worked... on third try anyway but it worked successfully. Now I don't need to catch a Pokemon with sleep skill or buy a Great ball.Just gave it a Thunder Wave, Abra got paralyzed and can't do anything, threw a Poke ball, and I got my first Psychic Pokemon. For now he's a useful as a Magikarp but I can deal with that.

And My Metapod evolved to Butterfree.

Well, you definitely wanna use the Stockpile, Spit Up and Swallow move combo for him.

How would that help? Poison moves are strong against grass and fairy types, and STAB would be a better choice for fighting them. Stockpile and the others I've never seen much use for them, hence why I don't include them as moves on any of the Pokémon that can learn them for my team. Am I missing something about that trio of moves? I mean sure it raises both defenses, but once you use the other combo in the move that effect is gone.

    Current Alpha Sapphire Team:

    Bladeswipe the Grovyle: Lv.31
    Overgrow Ability,
Pursuit, Leaf Blade, Mega Drain, Fury Cutter

    Py'Lua the Torkoal: Lv.18
    White Smoke Ability,
Withdraw, Rapid Spin, Flame Wheel, Smokescreen (Just caught her so she still has three of the moves she had when caught.)

    Hydrocloryc the Swalot: Lv.27
    Sticky Hold Ability,
    Toxic, Body Slam, Sludge, Amnesia

    Tentative Teammates:

Vigoroth (Didn't nickname it yet, not sure if I'm keeping it on the team once it evolves into Slaking, Truant is decidedly bothersome unless you're prepared for the long haul.): Lv.28
Chip Away, Amnesia, Feint Attack, Slack Off

Bagon the Wonder Trade Arrival: Lv.16
    Dragon Breath, Ember, Leer, Bite

    HM Slave:
    Linoone: Lv. 27
Rock Smash, Cut, Secret Power, Pin Missile (Still debating if I want to dump Strength on him or what.)

When I first started Alpha Sapphire I was pumped, unfortunately after the diversity that was X going back to traditional areas with familiar and not so difficult to find Pokémon in mass abundance made me question the team build approach. It takes time to get anywhere in Hoenn and finding a decent team that is unique and different from the standards you've used before can be a bit bothersome.

Never really trained a Gulpin before so I figured what the hell, same with Torkoal for my fire type, even if Numel or Vulpix would be a better deal.

So I've got three permanent members so far, with two maybes and an HM Slave, plus Secret Power because hey, need to get into my secret base and move it around and stuff.

Fairly decent start, will finish up X before I get to much further along in AS, but I'm looking forward to picking more team members, contemplating adding one of the ghost types from the region, Banette and Dusclops are also Pokémon I haven't used too much of in the past, and Dusknoir might be fun to aim for.

Thoughts, opinions? Am I asking for trouble?

I actually was able to match all five digits and win a Master Ball myself.

In fact, it happened twice. Once on X and again on Omega Ruby.

Got both Jirachi this morning, and while perusing X I found Wynaut, the Wonder Trade one I got, seems to have the Pokerus... Not sure if it had it when traded and I just missed it or it got it now sitting in the box, all I know is...Officially first time any Pokémon in any game I've owned has had Pokerus.

Now if only I knew how to utilize it properly to take full advantage of same.
