    FINALLY!!! :lolol

i spent four hours yesterday and another 4 hours today trying to capture Latias in Heartgold.

i was able to capture Raikou with 7 quick balls and i ran out of quick balls 3 times trying to get Latias and i soft reset each time. i had Latias paralyzed and false swiped down to 1HP.

ah, the sweet sigh of relief.

man, do i hate runners. especially Platinum's 5 runners.

X and Y had it right with meeting the runner 10 times before staying in one area to battle.

now, ive been into pokemon since mid January of 1999 and some of the things i like in the games are little secrets that had me playing up to 2 in the morning.

in Gold and Silver (and HGSS), the ruins of alph were very cool to me and i wanted to know everything about that plays, one that i never figured out was the mysterious 'music' played on the radio while you are in the alph.

but recently, i got done playing HG and i was at the ruins and looking through the strategy guide and i found something i completely failed to notice: reading the words on the north walls of each puzzle chamber were clues that lead to a hidden room with items that went right over my head.

i've played GS and HGSS since day one on their release and 15 years later i find these rooms for the first time. :lolol

as Cheech Marin in Ghostbusters 2 once said: "Better late than never."

Has there been any new Pokémon sighted in the TV series or something. I can't stop thinking about them remaking Red and Blue today. I just never had the opportunity to play the classics.

They probably won't remake red and blue again. It would be strange to remake a game that already had a remake 10 years ago. If anything I would like to see a sequel that takes place 20 years after red and blue.

They've remade Super Mario many times.

I think its more likely they'd remake Yellow version than doing Red and Blue since we have FireRed and LeafGreen.

Then again I don't think it would be too complicated to remake the first Pokemon games either with the currently existing Gen 6 engine. They just have to shape those same assets into the geography of Kanto, and make the first 150 Pokemon available throughout the region while the remaining 570 can be brought into the game with either new post-game material, transfers, or events.

That said, I don't think for a second that a Gen 1 remake will be happening any time soon. The most recent games, ORAS are already a remake to begin with and all of the information we've been receiving about Zygarde heavily hints to the next games being Pokemon Z (or X2Y2 though I think Z is more likely). After that I'm willing to bet that next game will be Gen 7, which means a new region altogether. So yeah, I don't another Gen 1 remake is happening any time soon.

Unless Gen 7 has something really interesting to tell storywise I'm afraid I'm beginning to get a little burned out off of this series. If only because the more regions that exist the longer it takes to fill in the pokedex. And when you're as in to catching them all as much as some of us can become sometimes getting 900+ creatures and figuring out who to train and all that you tend to find yourself getting frustrated if you don't have online access and the like to make trading 10 times easier.

It was remade 1 time. For super Mario all stars and it was ported to many times to count. Port isn't remaking.

yeah tell me about it. and just transferring pokemon kind of takes away from some of the joy of raising, but its better than re-building teams from scratch all the time. and you say 900+, however does that include different forms? coats? genders? yeah. minor differences like butterfly, meh but pidove's final evolution is dramatically different pending on gender SOOOO .....

Well if you're extreme OCD and want Regular and Shiny versions of each and every Pokémon than I'd say 900+ is a low estimate. More like 1900+. ;)

I disagree, I like having something new worthwhile coming out each year.

Maybe OR/AS could have came out early this year....oh well.
