Is the first one Xbox 360 compatible? If it truly eats GC memory then I'd rather make good use of my Elites HDD.

If you have a PS3, then the virtual memory card will do and cost nothing, but I have a mem card with this game on it and plenty others. It doesn't eat that much of your MEm card storage.
Hey... mine works. Actually, I think BG&E was the last thing I played on it, as I actually replayed it recently.

MoP: From what I've read, BG&E isn't backwards compatible on the 360.

FYI, you can get the first BG&E on steam for $10.

EDIT: I really hope they bring the same people who did the music for the first back... the soundtrack for BG&E was epic.

If you have access to a Gamecube or a Wii, play it. Immediately. it's one of my all time favourite games, and remains the only game I felt inspirred enough to complete 100% of everything in it.

Pick up a used copy of the first game. It's good.

I'm like mad happy they are getting to do a new one.

Very cool news.

I am going to throw out a tiny bit of caution to those who haven't played BG&E yet (and for those who have please don't misunderstand me, I liked BG&E). I'd describe it as a very solid gaming experience, but it didn't blow me away. I think its impact on me was lessened since I didn't play it when it was first released (and those who have played it I'm curious as to when you did).

I'd been hearing all the outstanding buzz around the game for a while and late last year I was finally able to borrow my friend's copy and play through. I played on my Gamecube (and yeah it'll eat at least a whole small memory card).

The game's greatest strengths are its story telling and the overall world/characters it creates within that story. Still with that said it never really clicked with me the way I had hoped it would. It's an interesting and solid story, but I was never fully drawn in. The combat reminded me (and this is just my honest take on it so please don't punch me in the throat) of StarFox Adventures more than anything else. It's passable but never really engaging. There are some really cool areas and puzzles, but the stealth parts I found to be lacking. Again I attribute this more to me playing games like MGS3 before getting to go back and play BG&E. Had it been reversed I think I would have enjoyed those parts more. As it stands they felt basic and somewhat dull.

I only throw these thoughts out as my personal take on the game. Again to be crystal, BG&E is a good game and I'd recommend it, but perhaps if I had gone into it with my expectations a bit more in check I may have enjoyed it more (not that that's the game's issue, it's purely my own).

I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what BG&E2 has in store and am glad such a game/series is being given a new chance to shine. I'll try and get in on the ground floor this time

I'll need to see.
I already have a pile of games I need to work through.

Wow. I never knew the first one was so good. There's alot of praise for it in this thread. I already have a backlog miles long, but if I come across a used PS2 copy I will add it to the stack (I can play it on my PS3).
