(Lower Alabama) Collection Count: Regaining my dignity News Credits: 1 | i have a copy of D3, and i tend to play D2 more than it. i am not a great gamer, and so the juggling light and weapons, the x,y, and Z axis with a mouse is frustrating.
and my vision problems make me feel like Helen Keller playing House of the Dead- the shadows and lighting make gameplay creepy, but i cannot see enough to get a fix on my position.
and i can't wait to yank my old machine out of the closet and make it a DOS machine so i can play Rise of the Triad and Wolf3D among others.
but i can appreciate Doom3 for what it got right and i don't knock it. if it sucked like the bad Duke Nukem Games for the PS1, i would complain, it don't so i can't and won't. Quote: |

I really hope they don't try to make this one a survival horror game, like they did D3. That was never what DOOM was about. I really wish they'd loose the reloading. That pissed me off in D3 and Q4. I like my shooters to be arcade. It didn't even make sense in Quake 4. Unlike D3, Q4 was actually a sequel to a previous game. It's like they'd taken a major step back in weapons technology. Didn't we learn anything from the M16? *reads up on the problems with the M4* Aparently not.
Now, I'm totally off topic.... |
