Lair 2.0

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/865/865676p1.html

So the game is getting updated with Analog Controls, something that A LOT of people had a problem with. While I don't blame them, I actually learned the game and loved every minute of it. But still, it wasn't for everyone, despite being otherwise a great game with an awesome story, great locals and epic music. Hopefully more people can experience it.

The other additions will be great for me, who still owns the game and would love some of the cool extras coming with the patch.

edit: it would be nice if they would fix the framerate a bit, but taking it down to 720 makes a big difference. They never should have included 1080 in a game that dense with architecture and textures.

I once farted on the set of Blue Lagoon.

Hell, I'd let you borrow my copy if you weren't in London, Smags. It really is an amazing game, and some of the battles (especially the second to last one) are epic as hell. I literally had the game on my table to trade it in and something possessed me to play the tutorial. After I learned it, I had a blast, except for one annoying level, but that was me just sucking. The analog will fix 70% of the problem the game had. The other 30 might be attributed to a sometimes shoddy framerate, and it being a short game.

What if he were in Manchester?
Would you loan it to him then?

I think that is a case of Sony wanting to have everything in the game, and I can't say I blame them. They could have kept it at 720P and everyone would have been happy until someone posted at Kotaku or somewhere "Lair is not in 1080P!".

The complaints I've heard are:
-controls
-frame rate
-frustrating, confusing, and/or boring missions (if you weren't a fan of Rogue Squadron, you'll know what they're talking about)

I can't verify any of that, since I've barely played the game.

I'll give you the first two, despite enjoying the controls, but the missions were never confusing and far from boring. There was ONE mission involving a prison break that was a bit confusing, but that was the only one. There is a "Dragon Radar" that always highlights the objective in red, so I always knew where to go.

Since you're in Dallas, Smash, I'll drive it up to you. You can give me 20 bucks for gas, or just buy the game for 20 bucks.

Why would people complain about having a new option?
