Anyone else pick this up? I was on the fence until I read some reviews. I got it 3 days ago, and I've barely been able to pull myself away to type this up
It's fantastic! I'm very impressed with what Iron Clad/Stardock have done.
I'm also looking forward to the release of the development/mod tools. Folks are already planning BSG/Star Wars/Star Trek mods.
I can see this game having some nice longevity. CobraIsland.com |

I've only had a chance to play the tutorials, one aborted game, and two full games, but I'm already hooked. The game is just one hell of a lot of fun, and manages to make time just disappear.
I need to try out some new races and tactics though, since all I've played so far is the TEC, and every time I just end up building 3-4 Novalith cannons to bomb my enemies into nuclear ash. Actually won my second game with only one capital ship. Granted, the sucker was level 8 by the time I won
