What version of Chrono Trigger is the best???

I'm looking to get one of these working on my PSP......

So I ask.... What version is better, the SNES one or the one that came out for the PS in Final Fantasy Chronicles??

PSP one has the added anime cutscenes, but it has horrible loading times.
Go with the SNES one.

SNES, but if you can't find it get the PS1 version.

snes for sure, especially if you're just going to be emulating it on your psp. the ps1 one has weird sound effects that sound like they're playing through a tube and overly annoying load times.

SNES all the way. The PS1 version had horrible loads on EVERY fight in the game. It probably took twice as long to play because of them.

Looking for a MIB Alternators Swerve for TRADE! PM me!

what about the 5 second load time every time you wanted to go to the menu screen? the only really playable square snes port was ff4. the rest were loaderiffic.

I believe there was a fan re-translation of Chrono Trigger for SNES. Get that one if you can find it.

as much as i like fan translations, i find retranslations usually tend to intentionally change what we grew up with just for the sake of change, like calling kefka "cefca" in ff6. i'd stick with the original myself.

Loading off a memory stick MIGHT eliminate the PS1 version's load time issue. As I understand it, shy of the cutscenes and such being stored separately on the disc, the game itself was just the SNES ROM.
