Dreamcast? Sega Master System? Atari 7800? Atari Jaguar? 3D0? :dunno: Quote: |
Nintendo have updated their Japanese Virtual Console page, and in doing so have left an alluring little tease. They're displaying eight console boxes when there's only six consoles on the VC, with the remaining two boxes greyed out. Did Nintendo suddenly get big on asymmetrical websites? Not likely. Expect two more consoles to be announced, and announced soon, with one (hopefully/probably) being the Master System, and the other, a complete mystery.

News Credits: 5 | I would think some of the Dreamcast games would be too big unless you can use a SD card or external memory device, although I would love an update that would allow an external hard drive to work. My guesses are Gameboy (could include original, Color, and Advanced) and Master System. Gone but never forgotten. Farewell Transformers: Animated. |

Radicons aren't limited to just Transformers. . . .

Nintendo should have added it already. Why they haven't is a big mystery. There are so many great games for it like Pokémon, Mario Land, the various Zelda games, Castlevania, the Advanced Wars series and the ones before it, and a whole list of others.
One thing they should do is release all the versions of Pokémon but make them compatible with the DS and future games somehow. That alone would sell millions. Pokémon is just like the DS and Wii, a license for Nintendo to print money. Gone but never forgotten. Farewell Transformers: Animated. |

It certainly would be necessary to directly access external memory if a hard drive comes along later.
For the virtual console I doubt Dreamcast. The games were just too big, unless they somehow added direct support for Dreamcast discs which seems highly unlikely.
My guess is something else Nintendo or Something else Sega.
I'm thinking the best candidates. Master System (and Game gear since they're almost the same hardware), Sega CD, or gameboy/color. I don't think they'd do advance so soon with the advance still on the market, even if it is likely in its last year. (but we've been saying that since 04 when the DS came out and the advance is still going.)
Personally I'd most like some Atari 2600 5200 and 7200.

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl could communicate with Pokémon Revolution for Wii using Wifi so yes it is possible to do that. The Pal Park in D/P would probably be used so it would be a one way transfer but I would like to see a way to transfer them back or better yet a way to use the Pokémon from lets say Diamond in Red or Gold. Just a thought and probably unlikely but it would be cool and I would be tempted to buy them again just for that. Gone but never forgotten. Farewell Transformers: Animated. |

Nintendo's website even lists it as an older system. I think it's pretty much done with. |
