I got a SNES and Sega Genesis recently, and I'd like to know which games are worth getting. Post your suggestions here.

Genesis:
Phantasy Star 2 and 4 (4 you will enjoy even by today's standards.
Streets of Rage 2 (must have)
Earthworm Jim
Shining Force 1 and 2
Herzog Zwie (Before Command and Conquer was, Herzog was, and you play as a Transformer
Flashback (ahead of its time)
Aladdin (yes the Disney one)
Shinobi 3 and Revenge of Shinobi
Dungeons and Dragons Warriors of Eternal Son (very challenging though)
Thunderforce 4
GUNSTAR HEROES (grab a friend, this one is the best ever)
edit: How could I forget Comix Zone (This game is hard as hell, but amazing-looking)
SNES:
Actraisser
Final Fantasy 2 and 3 (6 in Japan)
Zelda (Must have...MUST)
Super Mario World
TMNT
StreetFight 2 (if you don't already own a newer version
Star Fox (ahead of its time in a sense)
Mario Kart (slower than the newer ones, but still fun)
CHRONO TRIGGER
The Three Star Wars Movie games
There are more, but I'm sure our fellow posters will cover my holes.
Also if you have a PS2, before you spend money on some of the Genesis ones, Phantasy Star 2-4, Shinobi3, Comix Zone, and Golden Axe 1-3 are in the Genesis Collection for 20 bucks. | |

Streets has some of the best music of it's type, even by today's expecations. | |
