As for one of the nice touches that they didn't need to do at all. You hear some of the reloading sounds from the wiimote speaker.

The targeting reticule is the right size, I thank God for it. It makes head-shots, and targeting weak spots on bosses a LOT easier. Also, how does the knife and reloading suck? All you do is hold c and jerk the remote, it couldn't be any easier. And to reload you just hold B and give it a jerk. Not exactly much thinking involved there.

I've been playing for a couple of days. I notice that while the enemy count is higher, the game in general is easier, thanks in part to being able to get quick and easy headshots with the wiimote.

I've played further in on the wii version than I ever did on the GC version (where I always died before the church bell)

I never did figure out that you're supposed to barricade yourself inside a house and wait out the attack. I always just went around wasting everyone who came at me. and with the wiimote, that's quite doable.

I do enjoy this one because it lets me play how I want. Some of the previous RE games forced you to play one specific way, such as REmake focusing on avoiding fights by running away or using stealth. Good for horror, but not for gaming. I'm more of a total purge kind of guy. I like to completely secure one area before moving on.

The one downside, and perhaps it's because of my play style is that I never feel particularly scared. The open environment while on one hand means an attack can come from any direction to me it means I can choose my battlefield. And since as I before stated I always clear an area before moving on I know attacks can't come from behind.

Older RE games especially my personal favorite RE2 felt more confined. You were locked inside a building with no means of escape while the enemy was ever present around you and was closing in. On top of that a city full of zombies is just plain scarier than a village full of possessed psychopathic cultists.

Though while not scary RE4 is still damned fun to play.

well the village is only the first area, then you move on to a castle.
Radicons aren't limited to just Transformers. . . .

I still play these games on my gamecube. They're really fun.
