I have to say before reading this I was pretty excited for the game..... but now i'm not so sure about the story.

Crystals are back, good. ATB is back, great.

But what a name, Lightning... ugh. And Shiva the motorcycle...? I didn't want to have to buy a PS3 just to play this game, looks like I wont be missing out.

Set way way way way way way way way way in the future. There is no "fantasy" in this one.

I really do miss castles and steam punk level tech... This overly artsy futuristic direction on Final Fantasy games lately just turns me off to them and until 11 I was probably one of the more dedicated fans you could have found.

I really don't mind the change. Past, future, whatever. I'm really interested where this might go. And while Shiva the motorcycle might sound corny on paper, it may be much, much better when playing. Here's hoping, anyway.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you, but if it did, Sony would be screwed big time. Losing exclusivity on a major app like FF would bring Sony down a few rungs on the ladder, at least, for better or worse.

As much as I'm enjoying playing through all the previous FFs on my DS and PS2, I won't get a PS3 just to play FF13. So, Unless it does come out on the other systems (which I'm more likely to get), I don't think I'm playing FF13 at all. Who knows, FF was on Nintendo first, then Sony later. Maybe it goes back to Nintendo after 13 (They did put Dragon Quest on a Nintendo system). And they can always pull a Resident Evil 4 and say it's an exclusive, then have it not be exclusive a year later.
