Capcom says "No patch for you" to Dead Rising owners

Looks like anyone with a standard defention TV is screwed if they want to play Dead Rising. The text is bascially unreadable on even large SD TV's with composite or component cables. It's also pretty damn small on HDTV's as well.

Quote:
So, the question is, will there ever be a patch? Unfortunately, that's a no. "Due to the amount of text and the size of the patch necessary to change the text, a patch isn't possible for this issue," said the company. "We had asked the team if it was even possible but ... due to the scope of what a patch would need to cover, it wasn't possible."

The text is just barely clear enough for me to be able to read it. If I were to switch from component cables to composite cables I wouldn't be able to read it at all.

Still, the game is badass.

I have a 20 inch flat screen TV. not HDTV or anything fancy like that. I wonder if I'd be able to read it.

Dead Rising is the main reason I want a 360.

Would hooking up a 360 to a monitor solve the problem?

Ditto. Sorry folks, but HD gaming requires something better than EDTV.
