Just read this today in the new EGM (Oct 2006 #208). In an interview with Dead Rising's director:

EGM: What's up with the supersmall font? Why not include a font that's legible for non-HDTV owners?
Yoshinori Kawano: [Laughs] People should definitely have an HDTV before buying an xbox 360.

Nice answer, Yoshinori. It's smart-ass little quips like that PREVENT me from spending money on HDTVs and 360s.

Bullshit. I've seen a very tiny HDTV. Ironic, considering that this same firend has another, regular TV that I mistook for a wall the first time I was at her house.

Sounds like he should be working for Sony.

It was a joke, meaning that I think if you are going to buy an HDTV, you might as well buy a big one.
I saw a Boxing commercial and it said "It's a fight to the finish" Thats a good place to end.

Oh, ok. Sorry. I think that with HD and SD, the size of TV is dictated by the size of the room. Using my same friend as an example, her HD is in a very small living-ish room near her dining room. The "You won't beleive it's not wall!" SD is in her large basement room.
