So i love it, but it feels like i'm playing a metal gear game with all the long cinematics, but that is okay because i love the story. I took the auto aim off and damn i'm a horrible shot lol! might have to put that back... Loved
getting to play Crash bandicoot on the PS1
:)  As always i feel like i never find any treasures that aren't easy to find. blah.

Just beat the game. It has one of the most satisfying endings to a series ever.

Beautiful game, both visually and emotionally. I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion to the story or a better gameplay experience. Definitely surpasses 2 as the best Uncharted game.

I finally got it tonight, and it is everything I hoped it would be so far. The story is off to a an amazing start, and Naughty Dog nailed the character interactions and humor yet again. I'm midway through the "Always a Thief" chapter. The gun combat is better than it was in three, and the hand to hand combat has been improved again. It doesn't feel like it's as scripted, and I enjoy the dynamic takedowns such as the double teams with Sam. My favorite one occurred during the
prison escape and I was fighting one of the guards against these hand rails when I jumped over the handrails and kicked him in the face. Also, Nathan Drake attempting to play Crash Bandicoot is the greatest thing ever, and I say good luck to any other game that tries to top it.

Uncharted 4 hides the scripted moments really well. My biggest issue with 3 was its pacing in the beginning and it had to many "playable cutscene" moments in the game.

4 fixes both of the issues. It might not start off with a bang like 2 but it doesn't drag like 3.
2 shows you everything the game has in the first chapter. You start off climbing and you learn the combat system right away.
3 shows you how to fight and climb right away but you don't do gun combat until chapter 5.
4 has more to teach compared to all of the other games. You got vehicles and swimming in the prologue, climbing and the new rope mechanics in chapter 1, and brief moments of shooting in chapter 4.

I still don't know what game I like more 2 or 4. I feel like 2 you can play without much knowledge of 1. To get full enjoyment of 4 you need to play all previous games.

Overall the uncharted series is one of the best in gaming. 1 is a good game but from 2 on the games have all been A grade amazing. Golden Abyss for the vita might have not been made by Naughty Dog but is a solid game and the best game for that console.

It's going to kill me to not be playing this all day because of work. I was planning on playing it for four hours last night, but I still did and would have went for more if my brother didn't want me to stop.

I just finished it a few hours ago. It's very rare that a game like this lives up to the hype you create for it. Uncharted 2 is my favorite game of all time, and Naughty Dog is my favorite developer, so my expectations were through the roof for this game. It met all of my expectations. The game is yet another masterpiece from Naughty Dog. The story, gameplay, and graphics are all phenomenal and work well together. Like The Last of Us did so well with Joel and Ellie, this game does a magnificent job of developing the relationship between Nate and Sam through cutscenes and gameplay. I was skeptical about Sam at first, but he really is a great character who fits in well with the established dynamic between Nate, Elena, and Sully. My favorite poem is Ulysses by Alfred Lord Tennyson because of how it explores how old men crave the adventures of their younger years, and this game's story works so well due to some of the same themes. It was also great to finally learn the entire backstory of Nathan Drake and what his real name is. Nate and Elena's relationship has never been written more strongly than it was in this game too. Sully was well-utilized, but I do wish he was in a little more of the game. Rafe was a decent villain, but I don't think he was quite threatening enough. Nadine was a badass, but she really should have done more. There weren't as many action setpieces in the game, but they were still really great in the way only Naughty Dog can do them. Admittedly the truck chase shown off at E3 is the best and biggest one, but it still has the same "holy crap" effect when playing it. Speaking of which, the driving controls were really good in this game, and I'm glad the Jeep didn't overstay its welcome in this game like the tank did in Arkham Knight. This is the darkest Uncharted game, but the witty comedic banter and light tone is still there. Every joke was perfectly executed, and I was laughing consistently throughout the game.
I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of a supernatural element in this game and just how much of the game is spent in Libertalia (the second half of the game is almost entirely set there). It was a nice change of pace for this story to just be about people going after gold without explaining how a supernatural element makes sense in a sort of scientific way.

    The ending was absolutely perfect.
I'm really glad that these characters got a happy ending because they are so likeable, and they deserve it. It's also not out of place. Nate and Elena still get to do treasure hunting and exploring, but they get to do it legally and without bad guys shooting at them. They have a functional family, and they are doing well financially. Sam and Sully still get to go on adventures and occasionally visit. It really made me emotional since I have spent seven years with these characters at this point.

I finished it yesterday, and felt the same as the previous poster.
My expectations were through the roof, yet Naughty Dog delivered.
Guess I'm gonna buy the remastered collection cause I need my fix!

I don't know about this being the last Uncharted, though... I would definitely play a Sam & Sully spinoff. Or as Cassie!
I just heard there will be DLC, which is super intriguing..

One thing I haven't seen mentioned that I completely loved were the multiple paths to the same destination that are littered throughout the game! In past Uncharted series, those little ledges and things were obvious arrows showing me where to go next. It would sometimes take me out of the experience, as if I was being talked down to. In U4, there are so many ledges & paths that I felt like I had a choice as to where I'm going. Even though I knew it all led the same way, I loved exploring!
I tried to explore everywhere, yet only got 30 treasures... Can't wait to dive back in!

Those little touches go a long way too.
When you take the picture with Sam inside the mansion, you can have any hat on and it will show up in the picture at the end of the game. I took the photo with the Roman helmet, and my cousin took it with the samurai helmet on. It really made the experience more personal even though it's the same story.

I have a feeling the singleplayer DLC will be about one of Sam and Sully's adventures in the present (or is it the future now?) and that it will flash back to how Sam met Sully since we have no idea where Sam was during the Cartagena sequence in Uncharted 3. I assume it will be a long time before we get another standalone Uncharted game. I just hope they leave Nathan Drake alone unless it's a prequel so he can keep his happy ending.

I have kids, so it took me a bit longer to get through the game but I did just finish. AMAZING. Naughty Dog absolutely killed it again. Great story, great action, great voice acting. Everything was top notch.

2 is probably still my favorite, but this may end up being second. Just great.

I started Uncharted 4 today and man, this game is definitely longer than the others as I've been playing for over 6 hours and I just got to Chapter 10. It's been pretty awesome so far as it seems like there aren't as many enemy battles as there were in the previous games, which works for me. I love just exploring around ruins. Also, the stealth has really been stepped up, which is nice. So far, the only issue I have is it seems nearly impossible to find treasures this time around as I've only found 14 so far, and as I said, I'm in Chapter 10. I'm pretty sure by this point I should have at least 50. The story has some new twists which is nice and I loved getting to play Crash Bandicoot even though I didn't make it through the first level since I'm not used to not have the analog stick anymore. It was a fun time though and I really need to get those games again at some point. Overall, so far I'm having a blast and I love the new rope mechanic. Too bad it can be used to take out enemies though.

I finished Uncharted 4 today and man, what a great game it was. Easily the second best game currently out on the PS4. I won't say it is better than 2, but it is pretty much right up there. The story was great and the ending was an excellent conclusion to the franchise. If they do continue the series, they better NOT ruin this magnificent ending!! The last few chapters got a little annoying with the heavy focus on combat and my god, those exploding mummies were annoying as all hell. The final boss battle, while a bit frustrating, was pretty cool and a nice change of pace though. Overall, a fantastic game that I give a 9.5/10 to.

So, one thing that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. Is the DLC worth it? There's a single player campaign in it and some multiplayer content too.

There are no DLC details yet. However, the game is set up that you can enjoy it without the DLC, and it's just a little extra thing for longtime fans of the series like myself. If the DLC for The Last of Us is anything to go by, it will definitely be worth it since Left Behind could be a great little game in its own right even if you didn't play the main game. I assume, it'll come out next year.
I'm thinking it will be about how Sam met Sully.

Okay, did a bit of reading, didn't realize it was part of a "season pass" so to speak.

Left Behind was amazing and gave great background info on Ellie. Hopefully we get something similar with Uncharted 4.

Finally finished it! I only get to play for two hours at a time with work and kids. took about 18 hours.

    Question about the ending
Was the first legal job Nate received to go back and get Avery's gold? i wasn't clear on that.

    and
during the whole final battle i was saying "grab some f'n coins!" Luckily Sam was smart enough to do so. :)

Bottom Line I Loved it! can't wait for the 2nd play through and to try multi-player.

    it was the
Malasyian job that he done to get his riches. The same one his boss wanted to do in the beginning of the game.
