Hey guys! Its time to build a new PC, nothing fancy really, not a gaming rig but im deciding if i should install Windows 10 64bit Currently im using Windows 7, 32 bit but my 5 year old system is getting sluggish recently and decided to buy everything new. No problems at all with this OS Ive read different experiencies with 10 over the last year, but mainly for users upgrading from 7/8, not clean installs So, whats the consensus?
I have 2 machines that got updated with 10. one from 8 which I hated and one from 7 which wasnt that drastic of a change. the one that updated from 7 is a pretty old machine and ran vista originally and I updated to 7 (hated vista) and i figured that would have been the end of that machine when i did the update, but its actaully running better than it ever has at the moment and its been about a year now I think
If it's not a gaming rig or a media center, you'll be fine. Windows 10 would be great for those uses too, if the home versions didn't fight tooth and nail to keep you from tweaking the system for performance and preventing interruptions.
Sounds good I believe i can install it without activation for a while right? What are your thoughts of buying an oem copy instead of a retail package later on?
I upgraded from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10 Professional and I love it. They took everything that was great in 7 and made it better and what was annoying in 8 was made so that it is useful in 10. Also it's faster and uses less diskspace.
