Two years after the end of Lucasarts, we may be seeing a revival of 1313's world. I'm excited. Uncharted Writer's Star Wars Game "Along the Same Lines" as 1313 Nolan North says Visceral Games' Star Wars game also draws inspiration from Uncharted.
Why didn't they reveal this at E3? You can't tell me that having Pele ramble on for fifteen minutes gets gamers more excited than a Star Wars game with the same DNA as one of the greatest video game franchises of all time and my personal favorite. This is the Star Wars game I'm dying to see more from because Hennig is so good at writing fun adventure stories with memorable characters, dialogue, and action sequences. Battlefront is just a transition game in my opinion.
I lost all interest in 1313 when they made it about Boba Fett. I'm cautiously optimistic about this. He's not being rumoured to the voice the protagonist here, he's just talking about the project. If the protagonist just Nathan Drake/generic stubbly mcwhitey in space I'll be pissed.
I doubt that there is much to show for 1313 beyond what we've already seen, Lucasarts was beyond a shambles by that point and I can't imagine them making any notable headway into an Uncharted level project given all the other nonsense that was going on there.
Pretty much this. I´m probably part of the minority that wants to play a Rebellion focused game and does not fawn over Bobba Fett or the Empire. I will never understand this desire people have for playing as the bad guys.
I want to play a game where I can choose whether to be good or bad, and make my own story instead of just playing out Boba Fetts rise to fame or whatever.
Have you heard of Knights of the Old Republic? (Not sarcasm, I actually want to know.) I haven't played it, but I'm pretty sure you can do just that in it. Any who, I'm excited to see where this goes. I had no idea what 1313 was before this thread was posted, but I looked it up and it sounds like it would have been really fun! I'll be keeping an eye on this game, hopefully it turns out to be something great!
The problem with 1313 was that it was supposedly a hot mess. The only thing that would have been salvageable from it was likely a couple of background textures. Why not just scrap it and start over?
Any game that draws inspiration from Uncharted usually end in failure. Tomb Raider is doing just that and is... bleh. Never try to borrow ideas from Uncharted, it will not turn out great.
They're not just taking inspiration from it, they have Amy Hennig who was one of the driving forces behind those games. In a way, it's like the already have a part of it, and it has more Uncharted in it than Tomb Raider.
