If they're going to do a re-imagining, they should reimagine it without Slippy. :lol

I might actually buy a Wii U to play this, and then finally have a reason to get Splatoon and Hyrule Warriors.

    Bumpity Bump!
The estimated release date for the game is on November the 20th for North America and Europe.

    I'm so ready.

In the meantime Star Fox: Command (NDS) popped up on the Wii U eShop.
Unfortunately it still requires you to use the stylus to control your Arwing.. hello hand cramps :(

I had a feeling that it was a little to early to celebrate the release date..

    TL;DR
Basically the game has been delayed to 1Q of 2016.
Miyamoto intends to polish the game up and hopefully that means we'll get a really solid game instead of a subpar one when it is released.

So while I was really looking forward to playing it this November I can handle the delay if in return we'll get a more solid game experience.
And hopefully one of the best Star Fox games ever made.

I ope they actually take the time to improve it and not just leave it in storage like they did with Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.

If it gives the game single player co-op and a 5-player verses mode (4-player split-screen, and one on the gamepad), I'm all for it. I never minded the visuals, I'd rather the power be put into more multiplayer.

So apparently alongside Star Fox Zero being delayed for Myamoto's team to polish the level design and cutscenes, Platinum are now being tasked to be giving it more of a "Platinum feel" in the meantime?

Star Fox Zero Delayed to Nail "Platinum Feel," Dev Discusses 60 FPS on Both Screens - GameSpot

Dunno about the article itself; it didn't really give a source for all of this. However if this is true, I can't tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing. It'll probably be good for more people as it'll be more appealing to the masses than SFZ was, but at the same time I don't think the game'll be as good a Star Fox game for it? As it is it feels near identicle to 64's gameplay, which was a good thing... I think, at least?

Idk. Anyways, if it means more over-the-top Platinum goodness, count me in!

It disturbs me how hardly no one here is discussing this.

That needs to be an action figure. "Arwing transforms to...metal chicken thing!"

What was the name of the bird mode? I can't remember. :lol

TBH, I'm kinda disappointed in Zero. To me it looks like Nintendo is just reskinning Star Fox 64 in HD. Why couldn't they do something more story focused like Assault? (My all time favorite Star Fox game BTW). Also, where the hell is Krystal in this? Is this supposed to be a reboot of the Star Fox series?

I would say that you can't really be disappointed in the game before coming out. I am concerned about how it will turn out, but honestly I am more concerned about how they want to innovate rather than how they're sticking to the "tried and true." Still worried about diverting my eyes from the TV to target and shoot with the screen. Still, I will give it a fair chance.

I am now expecting the Arwing to perform lightning fast dodges, be able to actively slow down time, and have QTE finishers against bosses.
