I thought I'd get this thread off before someone else does it. Anyways, all news about E3 (Involving all the companies there) that comes before, at, or after E3 is over will be discussed here. Remember, no flame wars here, just good old fashioned fun and speculation. Now onto my predictions. Nintendo: -Fire Emblem if trailer, release date, and announcement that the game will be on one cartridge. (Compared to Japan's two cart release) -New Metroid 2D game announced for either 3DS or Wii U. -Yoshi's Woolly World and Star Fox U gameplay. - New amiibos -New 3DS XL colors announced. (Blue, white, and pink) -SNES games on 3DS announced -New F-Zero game announced (again, for either Wii U and/or 3DS) -Wii U price drop to either $250, or $199. Sony: -Bloodborne DLC -"Surprise" Blops 3 co marketing campaign -Uncharted 4 SP and MP gameplay -More MGS V news. Microsoft: -Battletoads reboot announcement -Scalebound announcement (gameplay too?) -Halo 5 campaign trailer -Killer Instinct season 3 trailer. That's all I have for now. I will update the list when I think of more stuff.
I might be wrong, but since the 3ds cannot emulate GBA games, it may not be able to handle SNES emulation.
"Kingdom Hearts III will not be at E3 this year and will be released eventually, progress is going smoothly."
Yes it has been stated numerous times that the 3DS cannot emulate GBA games, and the home brew scene has not made a GBA emulator that runs on the 3DS, leading more credence to the assertion.
Weren't there GBA ambassador games on the 3DS though? Not doubting you, just trying to make sense of this.
The ambassador GBA games are not emulated they are running on the GBA hardware that is part of the DS hardware that is part of the 3DS hardware. That is why you can't use save states or the home menue, and why it takes so long to load the GBA game or exit it is that it is basically rebooting the system. Please note: the GBA may have been more powerful then the SNES. If that's the case, than emulation may be possible. I'm just doubtful.
The GBA games also shut down all non-essential background processes in order to run (like street pass, spot pass, wifi, and so on). Nintendo execs had said that they were not happy with the compromise and will not release GBA titles for the 3DS until they can be properly emulated on the device.
OK I would move the COD one into the Microsoft section (xbox has been getting COD stuff first since MW2), I imagine there will be something announced for Destiny during sony's press conference, Uncharted 4 will show up, might be a teaser for a new infamous/Killzone/Resistance game, MGS5 probably. That's all I can think of right now for Sony.
GBA was a 32 bit system as I recall. As far as E3 goes, I am hoping to see more of Mario Maker and a release date for Star Fox U. I don't expect to see too much more about Zelda U beyond another trailer. On the Sony front, I expect the biggest focus to be on Uncharted 4. Perhaps we see a little more of Street Fighter V, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't. On the XBoxOne front, it's Halo and console features.
Sony: New Crash Bandicoot will hopefully/maybe be announced. Bethesda: Fallout 4 New Elder Scrolls announcement new Doom game EA: new Battlefield game new Need For Speed game Battlefront teaser for new Star Wars game from Visceral Sports games unfortunately Mirror's Edge 2 Ubisoft: Likely a segment about upcoming movies based on their games like Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell. new Assassin's Creed The Division
Halo 5 release date has been announced like last month. But a reveal for the special edition console could happen. Also gba was 2x stronger in specs then a snes so snes emulation is possible especially on the new models. Gba should be possible in the new models too.
Halo 5 already has a release date Will get a campaign reveal though. Probably some more mutliplayer, maybe BTB playable. Things that I'm most hyped for are Halo 5, Mirrors Edge 2, MGSV and Battlefront.
-Fire Emblem if trailer, release date, and announcement that the game will be on one cartridge. (Compared to Japan's two cart release) that would be cool. -New Metroid 2D game announced for either 3DS or Wii U. 2.5D for me. like NSMB on ds but nothing like Other M. -Yoshi's Woolly World and Star Fox U gameplay. yes please! -New F-Zero game announced (again, for either Wii U and/or 3DS) If you wanna see a new F-Zero game, give me a Hell Yeah! -Bloodborne DLC is Bloodborne good? -"Surprise" Blops 3 co marketing campaign Surprise? -Halo 5 release date, and campaign trailer I'm being cautious because of the whole MCC event. -Killer Instinct season 3 trailer. anyone sick of KI? nah, me neither. C-C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!
To those talking about Halo 5's release date, I haven't been keeping track of the game, but I will update the OP.
I'd love to see that as well. Though from what I've seen of Trine 3, I wonder about the possibilities of a Metroid game in a similar style... Anyway, here are mine. Nintendo: -Star Fox Wii U, Yoshi's Woolly World -News regarding Smash DLC -Metroid: "Rest assured, we have plans." -The next Mario? -Retro Studio's new project (assuming it isn't Metroid) Sony: -I'm sure Naughty Dog is working on something. Microsoft: -Halo 5 info. -Scalebound. -???
