I don't know what to make of this.
Seems like a strange way to announce Street Fighter V and I have no idea why Capcom would ignore the Xbox One.

How hard is Street Fighter to play?

 

Not hard. There's so many characters you're bound to find someone you are comfortable with.

But it will take some practice.

 

Never understood the point of exclusives.
Well, at least it's not console exclusive.

 

While Xbox One is by far the last of thew consoles I intend to get, that makes no sense. Then again, Caption, so pare for the course these days.

 

Interested in seeing how they'll change the formula.

Cause this is the current-gen version of the game? I doubt there's anything gameplay-wise a PS3 version couldn't have replicated but graphically this is leagues above SF IV, and it's still early in development!

It seems that Sony might have helped Capcom finance this game, hence the exclusivity.

Console makers need something to make you pick their console over the other, especially now where almost all games are multi-platform.

hopefully its something fresh and a clean break from sfIV. from what's shown it almost looks like they are just reusing models with updated textures  

 

What? The models are completely different. They have a new artstyle and are so much more detailed.







I guess the reason some people might confuse is that they're still the same characters and without a heavy redesign. And don't forget, the game is still in early development.

FIFY, given Capcom was bankrupt last I checked. Could be wrong, but at the same time no way Sony didn't provide less than half the dev costs at minimum.

 

Seeing as though the Xbox One is doing poorly in Japan, I can see why Capcom decided to make SFV exclusive to PlayStation.

Simple: PS4 is current-gen, PS3 is last-gen. We're almost through the transitional period between two generations; more companies are starting to make games for the newer consoles.

 

Finally! Please don't bring Fuerte and Rufus back and I'm happy lol. I'd say Blanka too but I know he's gonna be in it so I'll settle for the other two.

 

Aside from Capcom's bad financial state, Ono said before (like, a year or more ago) that upper management didn't want to give him a big budget for a new SF and that they might have to go a FTP route. Looks like Sony intervened.

 

Too many things not seen in the trailer for me to form an opinion on. Things like:
-Walk Speeds
-Meter Style
-Does it actually play like Street Fighter? (For an example of something that doesn't, see Third Strike.)
-etc..

I will put myself as 'cautiously optimistic'.
