Just wanted to bump this thread and get people who were thinking about this game to go out and buy it.

The game had a craptacular launch, but in my eyes it's redeemed.
There is a lot of offline content now and some varied characters.

It's still much more of an offensive style of game than other entries but that has become part of it's charm for me.

And I think that Street Fighter V has the best music of any Street Fighter game.

 

Not gonna lie I've been craving some SF lately and really miss playing but it'll never be this game lol. Patiently waiting for the 30th Anniversary Collection. Glad you're enjoying the game Smash.

 

I guess I'm kind of talking to myself here, but I do want to voice my frustration with the auto-correcting moves.
It's kind of frustrating when Cammy is doing the Hooligan Combo and I'm mid air with Alex's Air Crush and the game automatically adjusts Cammy's trajectory in the air based on where Alex is so that I land and whiff a grab where no one is, but but even though she missed me and is behind me now, her move auto-corrected and hits me.

 

Anyone play Sagat and G yet?
What the hell is going on with G?
Is he related to Q or not?
Somehow I can't imagine Q is connected to the "President of the World".

 

I know a lot of this thread has been me talking to myself but I figured I'd give it a bump and say if you're thinking about putting Street Fighter V on your Christmas list, DO IT!

 

Ming-Na Wen, Chun-Li's actress in the live-action Street Fighter movie, is in her 50s and still looks good. She gets her fanservice-y moments in the Agents of Shield TV show almost as much as her younger compatriots.

No matter how the writing ended up, I always loved the casting for the film. 90s Kylie Minogue as Cammy was a inspired choice.

I don't see a problem with this. Street Fighter V is a free-to-play game, after all, so they need to get some extra revenue in somewhere. It's not like this was a game that launched with a full retail price of $60. Oh, wait...

 

Yeah, she looks great. The fan service is deserved.
And her character is a total badass like Chun Li should have been in the movie.
It's funny how decades later both her and Byron Mann, the movie's Ryu, got to show some actual martial arts prowess in SHIELD and Arrow respectively.

So was Raul Julia as Bison! The Best.
Jay Tavare was great as Vega, too.
That is, he really looked the part.
It's too bad that he only got to fight for about 40 seconds at the end.

I really don't have a problem with it.
You can turn it off if you want.
