Meh, I guess who is he, is he important to the lore. He kinda seems to be one of the only staffers who truly seem aware of what's going on, he also seems pretty high ranked considering he's been with the company sinve they used springlock suits, idk it seems like he'd be important.

 

One thing I wish was full on confirmed, like, concretely confirmed, is that Michael was the protagonist of FNAF 1-6. He's my favorite character

I have compiled a basic FNAF timeline for any newcomers who want to know the FNAF lore; I will also post this on the official FNAF movie thread. I 100% recommend watching Five Nights at Freddy's The Movie before reading this timeline. With all that out of the way here's the timeline:



1970-1975- The very first Fredbear’s Family Diner and/or Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza restaurant/restaurants open for business. They are owned by a company known as Fazbear Entertainment run by William Afton and Cassette Man.



Latter 1970s-1983- William Afton kills Cassette Man’s daughter at either Fredbear’s Family Diner or Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Afterwards he also kills a kid in a green shirt at Fredbear's Family Diner. Cassette Man’s daughter possesses the Puppet while the green shirted kid’s spirit waits in the shadows for his chance to have his revenge against William Afton.



1980-1987- William Afton opens Circus Baby’s Pizza World with animatronics made specifically to lure and kill children. William Afton’s daughter, Elizabeth Afton ends up alone with Circus Baby and is killed as a result. William Afton closes Circus Baby’s Pizza World immediately and covers Elizabeth’s death up with a gas leak.



1981-1985- William Afton dons the Spring Bonnie suit and uses it to lure and kill 4, 5, or 6 children at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The names of the 4 fully confirmed victims are as follows: Susie, Jeremy, Gabriel, and Fritz who end up possessing Chica, Bonnie, Freddy, and Foxy respectively. Cassette Man closes down Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza by the end of the year



1983- a boy known as CC is terrified by Fredbear’s Family Diner due to witnessing some atrocity or other committed by William Afton. He is bullied by his older brother who wears a Foxy mask until one day CC is shoved into Fredbear’s mouth by his older brother and his older brother’s 3 friends causing Fredbear’s jaws to clamp down on CC’s head in what becomes known as the Bite of 83. CC is rushed to the hospital where his older brother apologizes for having been so mean to him before he is then spoken to by the spirit of a friend of his who promises to put him back together before he flatlines and dies. This friend of his had been killed by William Afton at an earlier date. Cassette Man closes Fredbear’s Family Diner down due to the death of CC.



1986-2029- William Afton orders his second and only remaining child, Michael Afton to go underground and fix his sister, Elizabeth Afton. Michael does as his father tells him to do and gets scooped by Ennard who is an amalgamation of Circus Baby and the other Funtime animatronics. Michael vomits Ennard out 1 week later and swears to find his father.



1987- Cassette Man opens a new and improved Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza with the newly made Toy animatronics as the main stars. William Afton goes to the new and improved Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, once again dons the Spring Bonnie suit, and murders another 6 children. Either these children’s souls or their agony go on to possess the 6 toy animatronics which are named as follows: Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Mangle, Balloon Boy, and JJ.

A security guard named Jeremy Fritzgerald works at the new and improved Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in the wake of these events only to be bitten by either Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, or Mangle in what becomes known as the Bite of 87. causing the toy animatronics to be scrapped and the remaining animatronics to be banned from walking around during the day. A security guard named Fritz Smith works at the new and improved Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza before being fired for tampering with the animatronics and odor. The new and improved Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza is closed down by Cassette Man although he promises to reopen at some point albeit on a much smaller budget.



1988-1990- Cassette Man opens a third Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and an employee of his known as Phone Guy works at the location for the next few years.



1990-1995- After working at the location for 2-7 years Phone Guy is killed by the animatronics who had mistaken him for William Afton. Phone Guy is replaced by a new security guard named Mike Schmidt who survives for 7 nights before being fired by Fazbear Entertainment for the same reasons Fritz Smith was. The third Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza closes down soon after.



1992-2025- William Afton goes to the closed down third Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and dismantles Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy however much to his dismay this leads to the spirits of Gabriel, Jeremy, Susie, and Fritz alongside a mysterious 5th spirit to corner William Afton in the safe room containing the Spring Bonnie suit William had used in his killings. The 5th spirit chases William Afton around the safe room in an act of desperation William Afton puts on the Spring Bonnie suit and laughs in the spirits’ faces; unfortunately for William Afton his laughter causes the springlocks to fail, tearing his body apart, killing him.



1992-2029- CC helps give the spirits of Susie, Jeremy, Gabriel, and Fritz their happiest day.



1992-2029- Michael Afton suffers nightmares due to the tragedies of Fredbear’s Family Diner and Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza’s past.



2011-2025- 30 years after the closure of a Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza location a horror attraction called Fazbear’s Fright is opened. Phone Dude, an employee at Fazbear’s Fright informs the Fazbear’s Fright night guard that a real animatronic was found at the safe room of the third Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza that animatronic is none other than Springtrap possessed by William Afton. Springtrap tries to murder the Fazbear’s Fright guard due to sheer sadistic bloodlust however the Fazbear’s Fright night guard manages to escape soon after the building catches fire but Springtrap manages to escape and ends up becoming Scraptrap.


2011-2029- Cassette Man makes a grand plan to bring an end to the nightmare William Afton has caused. He does this by setting up Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Place with Michael Afton by his side working as the night guard; he also traps the Puppet in an animatronic he created called Lefty. By this time Ennard had split into Scrap Baby possessed by Elizabeth Afton and Molten Freddy controlled by the Funtimes. Cassette Man and Michael Afton manage to bring in Molten Freddy, Scraptrap, Scrap Baby, and Lefty. That Saturday, Cassette Man burns the entire building to the ground with himself, Michael Afton, and the animatronics they had gathered. Everyone except William Afton goes to heaven however before going to the actual hell William Afton is tortured by TOYSNHK who is none other than his second ever victim the green shirted kid he killed at Fredbear’s Family Diner decades earlier. Eventually TOYSNHK allows William Afton to go to the actual hell and passes on to heaven with all the other spirits.


2016-2050- With Cassette Man’s plan concluded Fazbear Entertainment is left with new leadership who wish to cover up the horrific tragedies of the brand’s past. Fazbear Entertainment does this by making a VR game to poke fun at these events, unfortunately they end up scanning some sketchy circuitry causing an entity called Glitchtrap to infect the game. Glitchtrap proceeds to possess a beta tester named Vanessa turning her into his thrall, Vanny and having her hack into Fazbear’s Funtime Service and later Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex.

A homeless boy named Gregory ends up trapped in Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex overnight; with Glamrock Freddy’s help Gregory manages to survive the night and ends up freeing Vanessa from Glitchtrap’s control. However Glitchtrap takes on a physical form known as Burntrap and ends up battling Gregory and Glamrock Freddy before being dragged off by an entity known as the Blob, allowing Gregory, Glamrock Freddy, and Vanessa to escape Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. Soon after Gregory’s friend, Cassie goes looking for him only to be tricked and attacked by an entity known as Grimic. Roxy fights Grimic, buying Cassie some time to escape; she manages to get into a control room and use a scooping machine to scoop Grimic, knocking it unconcious and possibly taking off one of its arms.

 

Wow this looks really good. December can't come fast enough.

 

I dont know if this is a hot take but I think Sister Location the game takes place at the same time as Follow Me the minigame from FNAF 3 and it all takes place in 1986.

Evidence for them to be at the same time: William needs to be alive to ask Mike to save Elizabeth but also go missing at the end of the week. While Mike is at Circus Baby's William goes to take apart the withered animatronics, gets springlocked, and is left to rot in the back room. It cant be at any other point cause William is rotting and cant communicate with Mike. What I mean is that if Sister Location happens, say, after FNAF 2 William cant just call up Mike to go save Elizabeth cause he's dead at that point.

Evidence for Follow Me to be in 1986: During Follow Me we see that the location is dilapidated and not cared for, I dont think it could be in 1985 after the MCI cause the restaurant would be better taken care of, and it wont be in the state that its in in just a few months, so I feel a year is a safe bet. It cant be during 1993 cause Mike is already hunting William down, and, again, the place is in better shape than in the minigame. It's still old and not fully fixed but definitely better than rain pouring through the ceiling.

Evidence for Sister Location to be in 1986: Hand Unit says "Do to the unfortunate closing of Freddy Fazbear's" during one of the early nights in SL, it cant be the 1987 or the 1993 location cause Mike worked at both of them, he'd already know about the spirits and how William is a killer, making it less likely he'd just accept helping William. He even says "Im going to come find you" at the end of SL, it wouldnt make sense if he just barely wants to find Will only after dying, and not after working at the other locations and realizing that Will is a killer.

Sorry if this is rambly, its 11 pm and Im tired. I have more reasoning and I can possibly word this all better later but I just wanted to say what I think in terms of SL and Follow Me timeline wise

 

That would mean that the Save Them Slaughter that causes the Toys to be haunted by either the 6 new vcitims' souls or their agony must have happened. Do you believe that the FNAF 2 murders have already happened in 1986.

 

Alright boys, so chronologically what order does each game take place?

 

IMO:
FNAF 4 minigames take place in either September, November, or the end of November and very start of December 1983.
Sister Location takes place in early November 1987.
Most of FNAF 2 takes place just after with Michael rotting up until he vomits out Ennard and gets a job as Fritz Smith.
FNAF 1 is in November 1993 with William dying on November 15.
FNAF 4's nightmares last from January 3 1994 all the way to December 19 2022.
FNAF 3 takes place over the course of 6 nights from January 2 to January 7 2023.
FNAF 6 take place from November 20 to November 25 2023.
UCN happens between FNAF 6 and Help Wanted.
Help Wanted can take place anywhere from September 2024 to January 2027.
Security Breach takes place in either March, April, or May 2029 with RUIN taking place around November 2029.
And finally Help Wanted 2 takes place in January 2030.

 

I truly and genuinely believe that the Save Them Slaughter was supposed to be the MCI when the first three games first came out

 

First BV1st now MCI87 you really need to drop these theories because they are very contradictory to everything seen in the entire FNAF franchise.

 

I'm just that good at theorizing

 

But BV1st and MCI87 make not even a single iota of sense either narratively and logistically.

 

What I meant by "I truly and genuinely believe the MCI was supposed to be in 1987" is that it was what Scott intended originally

 

It quite simply was not because in FNAF 2 there's quite a bit of evidence for the Save Them Slaughter having 6 victims rather than 5; there's also the fact that William was caught on camera committing the Save Them Slaughter. The MCI is no earlier than January 1981 and no later than October 1986 literally any other guesses besides 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1986 are just straight up incorrect on a fundamental level; everything both narratively and logistically points to the MCI being either 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, or 1986 you choose any of those 6 choices but you can not choose any others.
